  • Thanks for watching the video! I'm higher and higher on this deck the more I play it, it's got a great matchup into Boros which is super important, and I've been beating Jeskai Control more than I expected, plus it's sooo fun to play. If you're interested in coaching, subscribe to my patreon or you can leave a comment here or DM me on twitter or discord, especially if you've got any questions about it.

    Congrats, this list is dope. Looks difficult to play optimally, but seems like a great meta call for the qualifier coming up

      Yeah it's pretty finnicky, I swear I play better when I'm not commentating lol

      @@omrithopter I thought the commentating is great...One thing I learned a few years from coaching is to talk through your plays. You just happen to be doing it for your audience 😊

    Cool list man! Considering it for qualifier weekend, it seems that RiP is rough for the deck, though not many people are playing it

      Yeah I'm testing out Prismatic Ending to beat opposing Bombardments which helps there too

    Really been enjoying this list. Any changes you’ve considered? What about different sideboard options to counter certain metas? Seems control is the biggest problem, already manhandles small creature decks.

      Yeah, I’m testing out a list with ocelots, and I’ve liked prismatic ending a lot in the sideboard, if you want to see more of my thoughts/lists/discussion join my discord.

    This is an awesome deck - I’ve been looking for a solid sac list, and this one appeals to me more than any other 75 I’ve seen since MH3. What about a Suncleanser or 2 in the board? Or strong enough already against energy? Thanks again for the video! Let us know if you make any changes

    • @omrithopter
      @omrithopter  26 дней назад +1

      I don't think suncleanser is super neccesary because it's somewhat ineffective on the draw, and the energy cards aren't the real issue in the matchup it's their ajanis and their bombardments. If anything then I'd be more interested in it for stopping Wrath of the Skies but I'd rather use Juggernaut Peddler to do that. (Also, I see that you've edited it out of the comment, but yeah priest is just too slow and vulnerable to removal).

      Hah yea I edited out that suggestion when I realized how bad it would be in this particular list. Maybe with tons of fodder creation like ocelot, but yea, too slow. Thanks for the reply! I’m going to craft this I think (I’m just missing a few)

    any maindeck changes for bo1 version?

    • @omrithopter
      @omrithopter  26 дней назад

      Not sure what the Bo1 meta looks like atm but if there's a lot of Boros then you could maybe slot in an extra claim/push or two over a chthonian nightmare or rite of oblivion since those can be a little slow in that matchup. Or if there are a lot of combo decks you could run some number of thoughtseizes/peddlers in the main.

    I'm genuinely interested in the field you faced in this tourney. Deck seems like it has some game against other aggro decks but how do you fare against combo? I am losing turn 2-3 in historic play queue to random jank that I can't interact with... Main deck 'claim the firstborn' is a dud like 99% of the times I've had it in hand. Against aggro, it just feels like a worse aggro deck. There's not many reasons to not play Boros Energy at this point.

    • @omrithopter
      @omrithopter  24 дня назад

      It has a good matchup into aggro and control from my experience, against energy the matchup revolves around bombardment and you're the better bombardment deck. Bo1 historic play queue has a very different meta in high mythic/tournaments for bo3 I have seen very little combo and if I see more I can always pack sideboard hate like surgicals, and the peddlers help a lot, it so it's not a huge issue.
