- Sweet moment Prince William comforts tired Princess Charlotte at the Platinum Jubilee. Prince William and Kate Middleton were joined by their young children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, at a number of events celebrating the Queen's Jubilee last weekend. However there was one moment when seven-year-old Princess Charlotte, who has become a favourite of royal fans thanks to her sassy personality, was visibly tired and the Duke of Cambridge had to step in to cheer her up at the event outside Buckingham Palace. In the clip shared by royal watchers on Twitter, Charlotte was seen with her head down wiping her eyes. Her loving father William then stroked her hair as he bent down to speak to her. She appeared to nod her head afterwards, then wiping her nose with her arm.

Sweet child who appears to be doing her best, putting the right foot forward and knowing the whole world watches. She is a blessing to her parents and the RF. The children did well given the amount of coverage they dealt with.

It so wonderful to see moments with William and Charlotte, usually William is with his sons so this was absolutely adorable
I've noticed that too. For some reason he's usually with his sons, especially George. And Cate - with daughter. It feels like Charlotte is Cate's favourite.
And i get that. Charlotte would be my favourite too if i was her parent.
@@erinbailey8792 it’s not about favoritism!!! The father should be a role model for his sons to show them how to act as a royal male. This is why the sons are usually shown very close to their father. Whereas the daughter is expected to lern the right behavior from her mother. William of course is very close and loving over his daughter he looks at her with such an great pride and affection.
Actually that changed after Louis was born if you check the former appearances of the Cambridge kids george and charlottes are with their dads while little Louis stuck with his Mum
@@erinbailey8792 it’s not really a matter of favoritism. As someone who will eventually take the throne, he has to also “train” his sons to do the same. And Kate has the experience to pave the way for Charlotte☺️❤️
See how William continually leans into Charlotte even after finishing their conversation. This keeps a link to each other and shows William’s empathy towards Charlotte and her feeling tired. As parents, Cate and William are natural and caring showing their love readily. The two older children has such long days and keeping in the eyes of the public, making them tired but so well behaved. Louis kept the ball rolling on antics. What a bundle of joy that one is. We shall learn of many more antics as that young man grows up. He was truly delightful and such a cute contrast to his older siblings who were so aware of their positions in the momentous occasion for their Great Grandma.

During that weekend I looked at what I did versus what they all did and I couldn’t believe it. They DIDN’T STOP!

Those kids did great. Such a long boring weekend for little kids and they did great. Probably too much stimulation and nothing of interest to them. You can’t expect kids to act like soldiers for that long.

This is SO precious! She almost seems a bit teary from tiredness (and that is going to be part of adult life one day. I think it is great to learn early in life that situations will sometimes require that you have keep your act together even though you are tired.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were trully amazing parents very comitted to raise well rounded children. Talking to them, dealing the kids emotions & comforting. Each child have diffrent personalities and can't help but admired the Cambridges as I watched them grow as one family.❤️❤️❤️

Her late mom only trusting him. He is always comfort when Princess Diana sad by giving her chocolate and tissue paper to wife her tears when his parents argued.

Aww bless her - this was such a sweet moment between them and William stayed close to her even after their chat. The kids were a really big part of the Platinum Jubilee Weekend and considering that she'd gone to Wales and the Platinum Concert the day before, Charlotte is doing jolly well. George, Charlotte and Louis look like such delightful kids who have been brought up very well, already know their responibilites and are such a blessing to the Royal Family 😃
Charlotte is very clever. She is always observing her mum and the Queen :-) She seems to have enharited a sense of duty at a young age. She gets it! I saw her telling her brother to stand correcty! Lol

Those years when you have to teach your children patience and expose them to more serious events like church, speeches, recitals, etc. For me though, if my six-year-old fell asleep on my lap in church, it was fine. No one was offended and no one lectured me. We also weren’t on television. I feel for William & Kate and for their kids here. The world is watching and ready to critique their parenting and be rude. They are doing a great job IMO.
I'm just so impressed with these children. I truly can't believe it. It's as if they came out of the womb knowing their place and the responsibilities bestowed on them by birth. I'm sure she'd rather be at home playing Barbies or coloring with friends. But she's been been siting and standing, pretty and refined, all day!

@@dianeleitch7049 they have 1 nanny who doesn't do all of it. Those kids have relatively normal lives as far as royals go. His dad had to walk behind his own mother's coffin in front of the world at age 14? I think if anyone he knows what it's like to do your role as a kid, I think he does his best to spare his kids as much as he can
Isn’t that repression ? When you’d rather be home coloring or playing with your Barbie like a kid, but you MUST attend this shindig and MUST behave the entire time ? I don’t know, I feel a bit sorry for them, that’s NOT normal. We didn’t do it. That’s why all the comments here are all about how “well behaved” the children are. But how is that accomplished without repression? Not letting them be kids? Why can’t they just stay home and do kid things and go to these events later when older ?

I think Prince William & Katherine are the best parents. Usually the Royals would always rely on Nannies to take care of the children. This is just wonderful to see them love their children so much they rather have them with them at Royal Events. They are an example for the world to pattern their lives. Thank you Kate & William. Whatever Prince William said to his daughter, she certainly liked hearing it. She shaked her head up and down quite a bit seemingly agreeing.
She’s very responsible and kind hearted. Also a bit of a perfectionist. She wanted this event to be successful. I don’t think she cried because she wanted to go home. She was upset Prince Louis was sent away. I watched the whole video and just before that, Prince Louis left and later the guard came and told them something ( probably told them Louis won’t be back ) and then she started crying.
Before Louis left, she was annoyed with Louis’s hyper behavior and she scolded him. Maybe she felt guilty that he had to go….
I didn’t know the event was four hours long, and didn’t know Louis was taken away. Someone else said it was only an hour. I’ve been blasted for saying the nanny should have taken Louis home before he got antsy. Four hours must have been too long for all the kids, cousins included. All should have been taken away if it really was that long.
I enjoy seeing William with his children because I think they bring out another dimension of his personality.

Makes me teary. Thinking of my baby willow. About same age as princess Charlotte or maybe a year younger. I'm a soft at heart parent. I will just pick her up and cuddle her. Bravo to the royal parents and their children and any parents always under the microscope of the public eye. My heart always emphasize with you all. Even as an adult, I know that point, when you are so tired, you just cry. My ex used to make me peanut butter toast and send me to bed. She does not have that choice...Poor baby, she did a great job in a hard situation. To be fair though, I wish he would have just picked her up and put her on his lap.

The thought suddenly struck me while watching Charlotte and George here- they (and Louis) are Princess Diana's grandchildren.You can see her in them- particularly in George. How she would have loved them! She and Charlotte would have had a very special relationship, because Princess Diana would have loved a little girl. William and his children would not exist if it weren't for Princess Diana. 💔

My own miss 12 has had her daddy daughter dates organised since she turned 8 . She has a fun activity, lunch & gossip about what happening in her world every 3 weeks .
A bond and relationship that will hopefully stand her whole life time .
So when she meets a male she knows how to be treated, what not acceptable or substandard is so important.
I am sure it was a long day. Little ones would have even more trouble sitting for so long.
