Just stumbled on this video, I've been reviewing for a year or so, it started as a college product and it's a great way to gain free products/help companies with reviews. Been receiving hundreds and hundreds of products, deliveries everyday. Amazon's policy has changed in the US and they aren't allowing free products in exchange for reviews unless it's through their own 'Vine' service.
I live in the UK and the policy is due to come here but a lot of companies still do it so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Only problem is, the more people who review are going to be noticed in the reviews on Amazon meaning Amazon will slowly clamp down more on the reviewing as a lot of members post unbiased 5 star reviews and it's unfair on actual customers.
Good thing to get into though if you do it properly and hopefully it'll stay in their policy.
It's also a lot easier than this. Write a pitch to start out saying who you are, what your intentions are etc. and just copy and paste it to companies on Amazon with your profile link and just wait for replies. That's how I got my first 200 or so products and it takes less than 5 mins.

So if you give a bad review they stop sending you stuff ? i like my reviewers unbiased.
I see people saying "I have received this product at a discounted price In exchange for my honest review" so I assume you can be 100% honest.
Not true at all. I've posted many negative reviews and still have companies sending me their stuff - most of them actually value what you DIDN'T LIKE about their products and they make changes to improve future products as well.
If you're part of the Amazon Vine program, it makes no difference at all whether you post a positive or negative review - so long as it's honest and insightful.

Went to the AMZ site and signed up. Unfortunately the prices for everything I looked at were prices I could already buy the products for. They would say 50% of but I know the product and they are charging full price. And I saw nothing for free. Looked through about 300 products and signed up for 2 (that I would have bought anyway). The rest were just full price from what I could tell.

Amazon changed its reviewer policy a couple of weeks ago. Sites like AMZ Review Trader and all others are no longer allowed to offer items for free or at a discount in exchange for reviews and people are not allowed to post a review in exchange for a product they received for free or at a discount in exchange for a review. AMZ Review Trader has even had to change its name along with the other review sites. They still offer products but the discount isn't very much and the selection is very low. Only top reviewers will be selected because there is absolutely no obligation to leave a review. These sites are now known as "discount sites'.

Amazon should crack down on it. when money is involved it becomes un trustworthy. i have been reading alot of reviews lately and there all the same crap.
You took the words rite out my mouth. If anybody thinks its worth wasting time jumping on a lazy affiliate idea then your not going to get much in return if its being done from the hopes of FREE sample packs and random review affiliated systems. You firstly need an already active enough channel number of subscribers to even feel like its generating enough to waste time on. Even this video had to be made up just to get his affiliation links clicked lol.. So what does that say.

its not, but some try to give you stuff at a profit to them......mostly just buy the stuff you already need or want. and just leave a review, but its not required. try it.

I loved AMZ, but Amazon changed some of the rules. But, now that it's Vipon, you can still get decent discounts. I definitely need to catch up on my Amazon reviews though.

There are ebooks in amazon that are totally free for a period of time. Can I still get a commission when someone buys it even though it's literally zero bucks?
well if you get a percentage of zero dollars you'd still get zero dollars...
I see. Thanks for clarifying that. So I guess the only way to get a commission in free items is to wish that that person buys a non-zero item.
You're literally doing nothing for the commission anyways, so no harm, no foul. Additionally, the spirit of this is that you get a discount on an item you review and people will buy the full price due to good reviews and you get a few pennies for reviewing.

I started doing these but I should have waited for the amazon affiliate because if you don't traffic a certain number count in a time frame they won't let you have it. I started it when I barely made an account so I was too small to bring in traffic at the time.

I tend to ignore reviews that are not "verified Amazon purchase". How does ART deal with this snag?
I wouldn't ignore those reviews... I've reviewed plenty of products that I've purchased from a different retailer and reviewed them on Amazon. "Verified" purchases can include products given at a discount or sometimes free (although they are changing this, I believe).
There are several sites out there that can analyze reviews from product link and give you a more accurate rating.

Will this work in Canada?
I signed up to be an Amazon affiliate in the first month my channel was started. I do tech reviews, unboxings, and video game videos. I bought a TV from Amazon and unboxed it, and someone in my town bought one through my affiliate link, and a couple of days later, Amazon closed my affiliate account saying my channel was too small. How can they do that? It does not seem fair at all. How big do I need to be?
Techno Dad you generally need between 500-1000 subs to get approved to be an Amazon Affiliate. Or you can just build a website and get approved regardless of subscriber count. That's what I did after not getting approved the first couple times.
