Hi Vincenzo! Thanks for this great review, you have presented an outstanding fountain pen model! I also think it is the first nib #8 for Asvine. I totally agree with you that it will be hard to beat as fountain pen of the year but it is the beginning of the year and the ingenuity of the Chinese will not fail to amaze us. Happy New Year!

I have been using two Asvine C2000 pens for four days now. I have the light green version with a fine nib, and the green version with a medium nib; but I am still waiting for the red version with the stub nib. I don't know if the feed is ebonite or not, but even the pen with the fine nib is making a dry ink such as Pelikan 4001 Dark Green look to be wet, especially on Oxford Optik paper.
I agree with your assessment ! I think this pen will be a definite hit! I'm in love with that red one as well. The clip and the branding would be deal-breakers for me but I think it's too nice a pen to pass up. I wonder if there is a way to remove the clip without damaging it. Ciao, Alla prossima.
I always love your enthusiasm. These are very pretty pens. I am not a fan of wood pens in general and these are larger than my preference as well, but I do love the fact that the nibs are offered with a 1.1 stub. A deal breaker for me though, is the garish gold branding especially the model number in gold. So much better omitted or even painted in black.
I don't know what to make of "Purplish Red." I dipped it with a fine and looked like dark pink to me, maybe the lighting had a slight impact, but my instict 8s to mix with Hongdian Purple 1:1.
I have the red version in XF and can attest that the nib is smooth and reliable. I do however, find the front section to be a little bit slippery feeling.
it is interesting as it seems the price on Amazon changes daily and it seems that there are not a lot of pens available. The red finish is not available anymore, anyway this pen looks very interesting. Considering how wet these pens are, I think the feed is ebonite although another reviewer mentioned plastic.
Hey Vince, I know you appreciate help and correction on your English terminology….Ive been wondering if when you say a nib is constant if you mean to say consistent? I still get what you mean when you say it but I know you’ve made other corrections to your terminology in the past. Great review my friend and I wholeheartedly agree with you. This is a great pen. I just got mine 2 days ago.

Great review. This pen looks so pretty and it's a great Alternative to Hongdian A7 that I haven't fount available yet, Definitely Asvine and Hongdian are great pen makers. This pen could makes me break my New Years resolution - Not Buy more pens.
An important thing to know is that the newly released Hongdian A7 pens no longer have the beautifully polished finish. My pen is very matte finished and the color is very dark blue. I suspect that Hongdian changed the stabilized wood formula, or perhaps the matte finish simply doesn't allow the color to pop. I don't know if the polished finish contributed to the cracking or whether in their rush to get the pen back on the market, they simply skipped the polishing process. Let the buyer beware. As for the C2000, that pen is HUGE! I compared it to my V200 and V126; which are large pens, as you know and the C2000 makes my V126 look like a pocket pen. I agree that the stub writes more like a broad nib. It lacks the 'sharpness' of a true stub. I still like it.
I have two and they both have issues with the ink drying out and they hard start every time. I was so disappointed because they are otherwise impressive pens. I won’t be buying any more wooden pens.

Received the 'yellow' one. Absolutely beautiful & terrific nib. Made me reconsider 'wood' and Asvine hits another home run. I just NEED the red one.

That light green ink looks very nice, neither too bright or pale. Seems more avocado than typical light green.

I've got the green one in Extra Fine. Probably going to get one of the red ones in medium as well. The extra fine does write very smoothly.

Nice review Vincenzo. As I mentioned in my review, it's a plastic feed -- not ebonite. I was unsure myself, but confirmed this with Britumn.

Is the stub pointed, or just the nib material? I've ordered the EF, but if it is pointed, I will order it as well.

Have you had any issues with your nib drying out? Mine is completely dry after less than 24 hours of nonuse.
Just curious if you tried to clean the nib and feed with soapy water?

It's a shame it's not a piston ir vacuum filler as Asvine usually make.

The branding cheapens an otherwise beautiful pen. I want to love the pen, it looks like a work of art. But the branding assaults my eyes.
