Crossway brought back the Archeology Study Bible, how exciting!! I'd be very interested to see the comparison of the older release vs. this new one. Thanks for posting! Have a blessed day & week 🙏
Excluding the KJV, all Bible translations contradict themselves or one another so they can’t all be correct. I will give you two examples, but there are literal thousands, of which I could give you. Isaiah 7:14 KJV “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 nrsv “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.” This is a big difference as it takes out the meaning of the prophecy of Christ. Any woman can bear a child, but no woman can bear a child being a virgin, which is the point that Jesus is not born of man but of God, being God. Completely blasphemous. I’ll give another example. 2 Samuel 21:19 KJV “And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.” 2 Samuel 21:19 nasb “And there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite [a]killed [b]Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.” Goliath has already been slain 4 chapters ago in 2 Samuel 17:51 by David, not Elhanan like you see in the nasb. 1 Chronicles 20:5 also confirms this saying that Elhanan slew the BROTHER of Goliath, in both versions. God says his word is perfect. But this “Bible” clearly contradicted itself. Every single “Bible” contradicts itself, one another, and takes away or adds to the word of the LORD thousands of times like this. Only The King James Bible doesn’t contradict itself. However because the KJV still conflicts with other versions, even though not with itself, You might say how do we know the KJV is the pure word of the LORD purified 7 times. (Gods number representing Himself and perfection) The Bible also says, the words of the LORD are preserved FOR EVER, meaning if the words of the LORD are perfect, there can’t be more than one perfect word/translation because they all contradict one another. Even and especially the NKJV. Psalms 12:6-7 KJV “The words of the LORD are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” “Bibles” with omitted/missing verses don’t seem like the pure words of the LORD, purified 7 times. And it certainly doesn’t seem preserved for ever, seeing as some verses quite simply were not preserved/ were omitted. If you’re a Christian you believe everything the Bible says, yes? So don’t you believe that the words of LORD are pure, and preserved forever not being forgotten, left out, or altered? The KJV doesn’t have any forgotten, left out, or altered verses in any way. The KJV has only undergone grammatical corrections until 1769. Jesus said if you change the words of His book, you will not attain eternal life. Subsequently meaning that the changed word is no longer the word of God and is false. Revelation 22:19 KJV “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Here’s irrefutable proof why the KJV is the only true Bible which supersedes Hebrew and Greek. The KJV supersedes the Hebrew and Greek for many reasons which are scripturally sound. Reasons for this ranging from scriptural proof like the Psalm I referenced earlier, to the manuscripts being used for the KJV being trustworthy and true without error,(just because the manuscripts are older doesn’t mean they are more accurate) and one more. In my opinion the biggest example to show the completion of God’s word are the Biblical codes that are only found within the KJV. God uses numbers/numerical patterns in The King James Bible to express certain truths the more and or just give proof that The King James Bible is the one true Bible. I’ll give a preface and an example of this. Different numbers have different meanings and represent different things/beings. 7 is known as Gods number because every time it’s used in the Bible it represents perfection and The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. Here’s one code. It is found by taking the sum of ALL UPPERCASE standard (non-possessive) names/titles of God ( JEHOVAH, I AM, JAH, LORD, GOD ) plus ALL UPPERCASE names/titles of Jesus ( JESUS, BRANCH, KING ) together with the sum of ALL remaining mentions of Jesus(‘). At first it may appear a bit strange, but the major consideration that makes this so extraordinary is that we are not excluding any UPPERCASE mentions of God/Jesus. We are including all of them, and the total turns out to be 7777 when added together with all 980 pure mentions of Jesus (Pure = antimentions are removed from the count). In the Entire Bible: LORD = 6472 pure mentions. GOD = 310 pure mentions. JEHOVAH = 4 pure mentions. I AM = 3 pure mentions. JAH = 1 pure mentions. BRANCH = 2 pure mentions. KING = 5 pure mentions. JESUS/Jesus* = 980 pure mentions. Total: 7777 This is a capitalized search result. The results only include UPPERCASE mentions of each word. A pure mention is a true count for a person, place or thing. If antimentions exist (same name, different entity, they are removed from the count. There are three antimentions in this search result which does not mention the actual person of Jesus. The three antimentions in this search result are the single reference of Justus and the two mentions of Joshua. This was copied from KJVcode.com of which I’ll will go into more detail about in a moment. Here’s one more example which is the most popular and truly extraordinary code given from God Himself showing The King James Bible is perfect, superseding the Hebrew and greek. The entire King James Bible consists of 823,543 words and numbers, including the cover, the book titles, and all the chapters, verses and words inside. Here is the breakdown: Structure of the Bible Words in Title of Bible (Cover): 5 (E.g. HOLY BIBLE KING JAMES VERSION) Words in Book Titles: 376 (E.g. THE BOOK OF JOSHUA) Total Chapters in the Bible: 1189 (E.g. CHAPTER 3) Total Verses in the Bible: 31,102 (E.g. 16) Text of the Bible Words in Verse Text: 789,629 (E.g. In the beginning was the Word…) Words in Psalm Superscriptions: 1034 (E.g. A Psalm of David) Words/Letters in Psalm 119 Inscriptions: 22 (E.g. ALEPH) Words in Colophons: 186 (E.g. Unto the Galatians written from Rome) Structure of the Bible + Text of the Bible (5 + 376 + 1189 + 31102) + (789,629 + 1034 + 22 + 186) = 823,543 Total = 823,543 which is, 7^7 (Seven to the Power of Seven) = 7×7×7×7×7×7×7 - If you break it down by Testament: Bible Cover: 5 Old Testament: 634,555 words/numbers New Testament: 188,983 words/numbers Total: 7^7 This is especially difficult to pass off as random chance because: Old Testament: 634,555 words/numbers Moses = 634x in the Law (5 books of Moses) Christ = 555x in the Bible New Testament: 188,983 words/numbers lamb* = 188x in the Bible book = 188x in the Bible life* = 188x in the N.T. Jesus* = 983x in the Bible The numbers of the names of Jesus and Christ are directly signed into the OT/NT counts. Again I copied that from KJVcode.com There are hundreds upon hundreds of codes like these, if not more. I would highly recommend the channel truth is Christ, because he goes into great detail providing amazing ways God’s true word is the KJV mainly through codes. I would also highly recommend going to his website KJVcode.com, or buying his 15 dollar book, seal of the King. Both show many, many, amazing codes, however the site has more recent codes that have been discovered. I’m well aware how long this is but I hope it may have enlightened you in some way. One more thing I would like to add is think about asking God if this is true what I said and ask Him to show you what you should read as the true word of God. May God bless you

Just ordered it, Thank you for the link 👍
Nice
Helpful review, especially because I wanted to see the trutone edition! (The edge gilding made the pages stick.)
Isaiah 7:14 KJV
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14 nrsv
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.”
This is a big difference as it takes out the meaning of the prophecy of Christ. Any woman can bear a child, but no woman can bear a child being a virgin, which is the point that Jesus is not born of man but of God, being God. Completely blasphemous. I’ll give another example.
2 Samuel 21:19 KJV
“And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.”
2 Samuel 21:19 nasb
“And there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite [a]killed [b]Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.”
Goliath has already been slain 4 chapters ago in 2 Samuel 17:51 by David, not Elhanan like you see in the nasb.
Even and especially the NKJV.
Psalms 12:6-7 KJV
“The words of the LORD are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
“Bibles” with omitted/missing verses don’t seem like the pure words of the LORD, purified 7 times. Jesus said if you change the words of His book, you will not attain eternal life. Subsequently meaning that the changed word is no longer the word of God and is false.
Revelation 22:19 KJV
“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Here’s irrefutable proof why the KJV is the only true Bible which supersedes Hebrew and Greek.
In the Entire Bible:
LORD = 6472 pure mentions. GOD = 310 pure mentions. JEHOVAH = 4 pure mentions. I AM = 3 pure mentions. JAH = 1 pure mentions. BRANCH = 2 pure mentions. KING = 5 pure mentions. JESUS/Jesus* = 980 pure mentions.
Total: 7777
This is a capitalized search result.

Here’s one more example which is the most popular and truly extraordinary code given from God Himself showing The King James Bible is perfect, superseding the Hebrew and greek.

Text of the Bible Words in Verse Text: 789,629 (E.g. In the beginning was the Word…) Words in Psalm Superscriptions: 1034 (E.g. A Psalm of David) Words/Letters in Psalm 119 Inscriptions: 22 (E.g. ALEPH) Words in Colophons: 186 (E.g. Unto the Galatians written from Rome)
Structure of the Bible + Text of the Bible (5 + 376 + 1189 + 31102) + (789,629 + 1034 + 22 + 186) = 823,543
Total = 823,543 which is, 7^7 (Seven to the Power of Seven) = 7×7×7×7×7×7×7

If you break it down by Testament:
Bible Cover: 5 Old Testament: 634,555 words/numbers New Testament: 188,983 words/numbers Total: 7^7
This is especially difficult to pass off as random chance because:
Old Testament: 634,555 words/numbers Moses = 634x in the Law (5 books of Moses) Christ = 555x in the Bible
New Testament: 188,983 words/numbers lamb* = 188x in the Bible book = 188x in the Bible life* = 188x in the N.T. Jesus* = 983x in the Bible
The numbers of the names of Jesus and Christ are directly signed into the OT/NT counts.
Again I copied that from KJVcode.com
There are hundreds upon hundreds of codes like these, if not more.
May God bless you
Great Bible review. The hardcover is currently 26 dollars for prime day.
Excluding the KJV, all Bible translations contradict themselves or one another so they can’t all be correct. I will give you two examples, but there are literal thousands, of which I could give you.
In the Entire Bible:
LORD = 6472 pure mentions. GOD = 310 pure mentions. JEHOVAH = 4 pure mentions. I AM = 3 pure mentions. JAH = 1 pure mentions. BRANCH = 2 pure mentions. KING = 5 pure mentions. JESUS/Jesus* = 980 pure mentions.
Total: 7777
This is a capitalized search result.
Here is the breakdown:

@@Imsaved777 no, it is published by Crossway, and they only publish the ESV.
