Hey folks :) I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday! Thank you so much for joining me for tonight’s food shopping…and the new festive intro! Tesco as usual! :) I’ll be down in the comments for a wee while
I did some big grocery hauls this week as family's Thanksgiving feast this Sunday. Turkey, potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, cranberry relish and sauce, yeast rolls and 3 kinds of pies. I have been busy this week making it all from scratch. (From USA, our families favorite foods I have made for years.)
I'm always curious as to why people buy burger patties when it's so simple to make your own. For my beef patties, I just mix in ground beef with pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, maybe paprika if I'm feeling it, then you kind of just form them into patties and salt them when they're on the grill. Press them down when they first touch the heat, flip them over once. Nothing else.
LOVE the Christmas intro! Glad your using same one; I really enjoy it. Some new & interesting items in the food haul today. Looking forward to seeing what you do in the week ahead. Take care Ms. Cheryl & family! ❤️🌹
Hey Cheryl, I'm the same with chestnut mushrooms. They keep their structure and texture when you put cook them in dishes, and they taste the same to me. Thanks for the goodies!
Good evening, Cheryl. Hope you and yours are well and having a good week. Those fish fingers look amazing. I was just in Aldi today here in New York and they have all their Christmas goodies stocked. I don’t know if it's the same in Scotland but our stores are already loaded with goodies. I just hope they aren't all sold out when we get to December. Have a good night. Looking forward to tomorrow's meals of the week. Love the holiday themed intro. So pretty.
I've never bought "hamburgers"--I just pat out my own from ground beef (mince) then you don't have to put up with fillers. You can add seasoned salt and pepper and maybe Worcestershire Sauce to make them tastier.
Love that intro! Makes me warm and fuzzy too! And then you had bought Mr Kipling French Fancies - oh, my, I'm green with envy! My favourite Mr Kipling was the Battenburgs - but then they either stopped making them or they stopped selling them in Tasmania! I am gutted and would k*ll for a good Battehburg! I tried your lovely recipe but I'm no 'What's for Tea' cook. It turned out OK, but just 'not right' somehow. I am about to start dropping big hints to my son in Brisbane to start scouring the shops oop there!
Hi Cheryl, your Christmas intro is my favourite one on YT, it’s magical & always cheers me up!🥰 Thanks for sharing your weekly shop, another tasty looking selection of foods. Like yourself I adore applewood cheese, it’s so moreish 😋, have never tried it with a burger before so will definitely give that a go sometime, I have used it in macaroni cheese & it was scrumptious!👌 I see you’ve bought the Jersey whole milk, I was just contemplating trying it, is it worth the extra cost in your opinion? Take care & hope you’re enjoying your weekend. xx 👩🏻🍳🛒💕💞💖
Good little haul for 80 pounds I was looking at shopping at Tesco today and everything seems to have shot up in price shocking I’ll have to review it again thankyou Cheryl ❤️👍🏻
I love watercress! It's one of the things I really miss, living over here in the US. I haven't seen it anywhere. I like using it in a mushroom risotto. Thanks for another lovely shopping video, Cheryl. See you tomorrow. Susan in Upstate NY xx
Cheryl, am I not paying attention, but it seems like you're buying cayenne powder nearly every week? Are you really going through those kinds of quantities of it? Just curious!
I'm buying a lot less than I used to believe it or not 😂😂😂 I don't go through a whole jar....but when I'm about half way through one, I'll get another one just to have one spare 🙂
What are the ingredients in the Coleslaw? It looks yummy. Have you showed us your hot cocoa maker before? Those little frozen fish dinners look good. I make the fish stick sandwiches. They are so good. This is a great grocery shopping trip. TY for sharing. I get so many meal ideas from your shopping trips. Love ya.
New, sub here, from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I just adore your accent! I could listen to you forever. Wow!That's a beautiful intro! ❄️ Thanks for sharing your life with us! 😊
Wow can't believe it's that time of year again, the Christmas intro is back!! It's nice I think those smoked cheddar slices would go really well on the posh fish finger sandwich 🥪 with lots of mayo & crunchy salad , and chips pf course . That just sounds delicious. Have you got jasper a Christmas stocking Cheryl, he sounds like he likes his treats 😊
Hi, Cheryl! I always look forward to your shopping haul videos as much as your meals of the week. They make me so happy! Thank you! Also, it is so hard to believe that it is already time to bring out your magical Christmas intro! Where did the time go to this year? Hugs from Texas!
You said of Tesco Baked Beans, "They're fine for what we use them for!" ... That would be eating, then? 🤣 Doesn't your frozen stuff defrost, sat on the worktop? And how come the frozen boxes and bags look bone dry?
The Christmas festive-intro is back. As always, I love your weekly shopping videos, Cheryl. Aye... you cannae beat Malcolm Allan steak burgers on a roll with some lettuce and some white/red onion. I am partial to smothering them in tomato ketchup sauce, I know some aren't keen on doing that! 😜xx
If you want pure meat burgers why don’t you just make them out of mince? We have 100% beef burgers in the US,without seasoning, I wouldn’t be happy with meat that is seasoned.

Love your Christmas intro! I like in the US and your groceries are sooooo much cheaper than ours. Even with the currency difference.

I love it too, it only seems like a couple of weeks since it was on last year. Hasn’t this year fled by again? See you tomorrow Cheryl XX

It's that time of the year Alana 😍
Don't put wet wipes down the loo. They say you not suppose to. I like the latte coffee nice with marshmallows.
I use Andrex wipes and it says on the front of the packet that they’re flushable, but only for a maximum of two 😅
Ah, the Christmas intro! Love it!

Snowed in here in Perthshire .. warm soup and rolls for dinner
