Had a Chinese regen striker I signed for 30k in fm21 for Ipswich called Zhao Li, complete punt didn’t even think anything of it. Absolute machine of a player scored goals galore. Used to chant his name to the tune of Jolene by Dolly Parton as “ZHAO LI, ZHAO LI, ZHAO LIIIIII oh score another goal for the town!”. Sold him to psg in the end for 120 mil as I couldn’t provide him what he needed and he won the ballon dor 3 times. Love u mate u were real to me
I live in Hertha and just down the lane from the Khil'mans - Egor's mum and da. They're Good Family People and share the tomatoes from their small garden with the neighborhood. Egor used to ride his push bike past my house and stopped to pet my dog. They are very proud of Egor.
My best recent save was when I went from level 10 to premier league champion with Penzance AFC. Brought in a 16 year old striker called Gari Halls in the first season and he managed to score at every level in the english pyramid before retiring at 32 years of age. Even though his level was never better than National League at the most, I even ended up taking the England job, giving him a bunch of caps, where he also scored for and featured in a World Cup winning squad. What a legend he was.
My FM22 Save as Rodos in Greece where my goal was to generate 1 Billion Euros in club funding so I could rebuild the Colossus of Rhodes and I managed to do it. Never won a CL getting beating by City in the Final or Semi like 3-4 times but it was a legendary run and a solid 15-20ish year save
One of my favourite saves was from FM2008 (maybe FM09). Won Serie A with Palermo. 40+ league goals from Amauri, supplied by a midfield diamond including Wesley Sneijder, Andres D'Alessandro and Matias Fernandez
My best ever save was also in FM20, went to the mid 2030s with Birmingham and kept winning things over and over (took me forever to get that champions league) but exactly the same as you, I never got bored because of the amazing newgens who became legends - I still remember half of their names!
It came from this year's game, with Napoli. It started in November and ended before the winter update [I was in the year 2039]. I managed to develop Francisco Esposito, and that was my highlight because the players and the fans didn't believe in him when Osimhen was sold.
My best save was quite recent, a Celta Vigo Save, in my first season, I went from Mid table to 4th, across 9 seasons, I won 5 Consecutive Domestic Cups, 4 Super Cups, 1 League title and funnily enough, never won a Champions League (I lost 2 back to back finals, one against Barca and the other against Bayern Munich), I think the funniest part about the Champions League was that PSG won 2 Consecutive Champions League
Turning Scunthorpe United into premier league mainstays and even winning the fa cup one year. Marco van ginkel on a free transfer from Chelsea was insane business if I do say so myself 👏
Mine was Bournemouth fm20, i had konate and upamecano cb, leon bailey, david neres and sebastiano esposito front 3 with camavinga, tiago almada and luka modric as the mid 3❤
My best save has to be the one from FM 22. That was the one that made me fall in love with the game which ended up being a 22-year struggle to win the UCL. Managing teams such as, Udinese, Marseille (Twice), Hertha, Newcastle (Twice), Atletico, Inter, and Some brief stint at Newels Old Boys (Idk why I went there tbh) until finally lifting the UCL with Dortmund in 2044. Oh, and I managed the French national team too. This made me want to spend 200 million on their striker who was at PSG just to get him to Atletico.
Two times I managed Roma, in the first spell we won 3 Serie A titles in 5 years, in the 2 years we failed to win the league (behind Inter) we beat our arch rivals Lazio in the Champions League final. A few FMs later, I went back to the Giallorossi after starting at Hellas Verona, went on to win 6 titles but lost 3 Champions League finals. Was painful. I've played FM for years and years but to be honest I've only ever had two periods of sustained success, both at Roma. I'm normally a terrible manager!
My best ever save was "an easy one", with Barcelona from FM 2022, although I played most of the editions of the game, starting from Championship Manager 01/02 (yep!). I got to the point where Memphis Depay playing as a "10" in 4231 was getting 10-15 key passes per game, +30 assists every single season with Avg rating of around 8.5. I finished a season on 112 points, winning 37 and drawing one game. I stopped when a glitch of the game caused Memphis to ask for a new contract and refuse an offer at the same time: he was mad for not getting a new contract when he was refusing to sign himself. He was on 350k a week, I wanted to give him 450k. He ended up leaving for free and joining PSG, where he got 115k or sth and not starting in first 11. Heartbreak
FM 2005 with Benfica cause Juventus and Arsenal always stopping me of wining UCL. FM 2008 again Benfica but what a team and my goolkeeper Moreira (real player) just a monster. FM 2014 with Southampton and Guido Vadala probably best player i have managed. Skills and performances better than Messi. FM 2017 with AC Milan. This was a masterclass team. Berardi was the star until his retirement. FM 2023 with 1860 Munchen (save i play until now). We started at 3rd division and now starting 2034/35 season we are the best team in the world. Rafael Luís and Bence Dardai (real players) and Franco Villegas and Grace Mbala (gens) are the core and heart of the team. These saves are the ones i always remember when playing FM. Yeah a lot of hours in here but i would do it all again. 😅
People finally getting to see the best save of all time. The legends that were produced, the storylines, that magical night in Madrid. Names that will live forever. Drach, Sassone, Collier, Bianchi. King Dirk and King Egor. This save was the start of a wonderful journey, the growth since has been mental and there's so much more to come ❤

This comment encapsulates the game, love it mate!! 😂

My Dad used to knock about with his Auntie Jules, a cracking tractor racer but couldn't make a black forest gateau to save her life. RIP Jules.

My Dundee United Save took me 10 years to win the SPL, finished 2nd 5 times in a row before finally toppling the Glasgow clubs...

I had 2 saves in fm22 where my striker scored 100+ goals in one season, fm that year was absolutely insane.

I had a barcelona save where I bought Giroud to play as a target forward in front of MSN. My guy got 40+ assist every season

Would be great if you could get SYC or WTS on, some all time classic RUclips saves between them!

I miss Fotis Vidalis… FM16 AEK Athens won everything and he was at the heart of it all. First season regen and the greatest player of all time.
Completed the pentagon challenge in FM18, won the World Cup too. Just could never win the euros or the copa America though. Gave up, but loved it
My best save ever was in football manager 2021 where I took Crewe Alexandra from league 2 to the premier league
got sacked from hertha on fm20 in my first ever console save, thanks for reminding me 😭
i love these sort of videos
Would love to see DoctorBemjy, WorktheSpace and Zealand on if you can. They would be fun to hear from
