- I've wanted to buy an N64 for years now and DKOldies had a sale going on and I had money, so I put 2 and 2 together and bought it. Couldn't be happier with the system and games they sent. Look basically brand new. Controllers aren't original as I couldn't afford the upgrade but may look into getting 1-2 original controllers eventually.

The reason why I don't buy from them is because how overpriced their items are, I can get retro stuff for cheaper price in other places.
But with DK you get real retro games....and you might not even know if they are fake if you buy them cheaper

Third party cables and controllers... you can get original ones for a lot cheaper. don't be afraid to find an individual seller that brings quality. I don't know why some people think all ebay, mercari, etc. sellers are all selling trash. I know many sellers that actually do quality work like internal cleanings to ensure those N64 pins are reading cartridges perfectly, tight joysticks on OEM controllers and more! DKOldies just do wipe downs and only open them when needing repair (you can see that when they show repair videos, closing consoles that are dirty inside) I assume its because of the volume they have but they charge too much for that kind of quality control.
Once again, for $125 I was able to get a limited edition Watermelon Red Japanese Region Free Nintendo 64, 4 original matching controllers, and two Japanese games on eBay. You have to know how to look. You guys are getting scammed, and bad.

@@branny7421 I gave my friend my luigis mansion cartridge because I was stuck on a level and when I got it back it my save file was deleted and so was my brother’s. Idk if he switched them up or it was actually deleted. I’m still mad lol.

I absolutely love the Nintendo 64 I was born in 1992 and i got one in like 96 or 7 i had it for a very long time as kid I eventually sold it for a Sega dreamcast long after;10 or some years later I wanted a Nintendo 64 again because emulation is sometimes hit or miss on Nintendo 64;though it has gotten better recently nonetheless I'm an authenticaity person I like the real deal sometimes not just emulation all the time anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it
Did you end up getting another real N64? I know years ago I emulated Goldeneye on my old computer and it was ok, but like you, I prefer the real systems. Even though emulation can have better graphics, I can appreciate the graphics of the systems and the ingenuity of what they were capable of with the limitations of the systems.

@@crustycarl3075 my brother got one for my family from DKOldies and can confirm, it works perfectly fine, and they are all authentic, besides the controllers unless you want to pay a bit more for original ones, but the replica controllers are actually really good

I trust them, everything I've received was in great condition. Me and my friends haven't had any issues with orders from them. Their refurbished items are cleaned and tested to make sure they work.

$50 for the controllers? That same controller sells for $15 each
Third party controllers and everything that’s way overpriced is not worth it go to eBay for these games and consoles you can get them for like $40-$60 a piece
Everyone calling this overpriced has never heard of quality control, most if not all of their inventory is obviously used, they test, repair, and clean all thir controllers, consoles, and games, I would rather pay $220 for an og Xbox knowing everything is quality instead of the $150 I spent at my local retro store for one that was covered in sticky residue from all the price tags it had throughout its life of being sold, took it home and plugged it up and the lights were red so I thought it was broken only to find out it was like that because it had the previous owners home brew modded software on it, and the controller the retro store put with it didn't even work so I jad to go spend $20 on a new controller, so in total I spent $170 for something that wasn't even tested or quality checked also a lot of the retro bundles come with a cable that converts the console signal to hdmi which can run you $20 to $30 so now I don't have to lug out my 30 inch heavy af tube TV, so yeah I'd rather pay the overpriced knowing my shit will be quality and actually work

does the 3rd party controller joystick you have make any weird popping sounds sometimes when moving? its not much of a pain but my n64 came in a day ago and i did notice that when testing the joystick at first
Actually now that you mention it, I do hear a slight clicking when I move the joystick back and forth on the bottom. Probably the same noise you hear. Never noticed during gameplay though.

Funny enough, I got my N64 from DKOldies too. Except I got the N64 Mario Pak. That’s includes just Super Mario 64. I also got NHL 99, and Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey Jr. with it. I’ve owned it for 3 months now and I currently have 10 games. Edit: 14 now. Newest edit: 26, coming up on 27.

I believe most of the games they sell for the N64 are between $20-$50 USD. Some rarer games are a bit more.

i just bought from them and im scared i got scammed, mostly concerned on the controllers and if its not the original controllers. but is the games and consoles authentic and original?
From what I have bought the consoles and games are authentic. I have noticed that for their much older game systems they come with 3rd-party controllers by default.
My understanding is that controllers are generally in worse shape then the consoles, we use them when playing, buttons wear down, joystick grips wear out, so with not original controllers, they can give you a brand new controller. They may not be as good however they are more affordable and easier to replace if the controller was to become damaged.
You are able to get original controllers with their "Substitute 2 original controllers" which increases the price.
Personally I decided to save money by getting the 3rd party controllers and having the option to buy the original controller later if I didn't like the off-brand. Saved me $50.

So lemme get this straight, from dkoldies, you get guaranteed real games and consoles, plus they will be in awesome condition, but at the cost of a higher price point, and if you ordered anywhere else, the price is lowered but the product might not be in good condition and there’s a risk of it being fake?
Pretty much, and they make sure you have the cables needed, even if 3rd party replacements are needed they with mention it.
I recently bought a Wii U off an auction for fairly cheap and it didn't have a power cord so I haven't even been able to check if it works
Most n64 games are definitely fake and not original. You need to open it to find out.
