You can suspend any glitter in resin, even the chunky kind. Use clear Elmers glue. One drop per ounce of resin. Turns the resin into a gel. Doesn’t affect the curing or the resin in any way.
@Sharauni I don't know if he came up with it, lol. My great grandpa used elmers in his resin when I was a little kid in the 80s. He made miniature figurines out of clay and would suspend them in resin to create a little scene. He was an amazing sculptur and won many competitions ranging from large ice sculpting events(parking lot sized) all the way down to matchstick carving contests. He was really close friends with William Hanna, who was one of the original Tom and Jerry creators. As such, he had a huge collection of Tom and Jerry resin scenes throughout his house. Sorry for the life story. I was excited to see Dan show off the effects of glue in his video.
One quick tip for viewers: if you are getting a vacuum degassing device for your resin, don’t go cheap. You can get cheap devices that don’t perform well or a more expensive device that achieves near perfect vacuum. If your resin has long working time, the cheap one might do, but the cheap one takes too much working time away from faster curing resins due to the longer duration it needs to stay in the lower vacuum to degass fully. A proper vacuum chamber with a proper vacuum pump with a silicone mat on the bottom is the extreme high end for full and rapid resin degassing.
@@connieholden5786 I find for standard stock stuff posted to the UK about 10 days in shipping. If it's a handmade item with high demand it can take a lot longer.
yess nail products seem to work great in resin! i have a lot of crossovers from my gel polish / glitter & resin collection. i did get a great set of unsinkable glitter from • *whispers* • temu… but I absolutely love them. They work great! 🫣😆💖✨
Steve I watch a lady “glam & glitter by Mischelle” to prevent glitter from dropping ever. Add one drop of clear pcs glue per ounce. It works great on any size glitter.
omg YES! The LEOBRO glitters are AMAZING!! I have a few of their different sets, and I was SO SO impressed with them, their holographic set is incredible too. Slightly annoying that they don't have names/colours on them, but I named mine after Disney characters that the colour reminded me of 😂 Also a big fan of the Hemway glitters, the range of colours you can get is incredible (they do a box of 54 which I really love) and the prices are very reasonable! Yes! Super glad you've shared these, they are 10/10 :D
OMG! I have been wondering what else to use to clean my cups and such that I use after doing a resin pour, because baby wipes (non-scented or no fragrance) is getting more expensive and not doing the job as they used to do with 1 wipe, it's now taking 3 or 4 wipes. Am going out to get Big Wipes now, because YES PLEASE! After we move, I will be delving into doing tables and larger resin projects and that's going to be way too expensive in the end for clean up, but with this, it's going to help immensely! Thank you so much for this video, and I think my glitter addiction is going to jump up again, must have more glitter! It's what makes the world go around, right? *laughs* ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
Nice! Another way to suspend glitter, Daniel Cooper came up with this I think, is to use a drop of clear Elmer's clue per ounce of resin. It thickens up the resin and prevents sinking and doesn't do anything weird to the resin curing, maryb4796 mentioned this too in the comments here. Also, using a spritz of alcohol in molds helps to prevent bubbles forming, just fyi!
I have those glitters, bought at the beginning of my resin journey and never had glitter sink, so I never understood what others were talking about. Guess I just got lucky in finding it from the start.
Yes, it is a vacuum degasser as can be seen when he activates it and it starts showing negative pressure on the digital readout. He should have said, “let the air in” instead but he’s doing a video about resin, not engineering, and when letting the air in, the sound it makes sounds exactly like air escaping so it’s a perfectly natural and excusable error.
For your US fans, the Dollar Tree has just some fine glitter that suspends really well. The glitter isnt that small either.
TY! 😊🙏👍
I think I have some! I haven’t use it yet!

I use baby wipes from Aldi. Much cheapness. And they work well too x
Acrylic nail powders work wonderful
You need to try nail powder glitter that is ultra fine.
I need to try those...never thought to do so. TY! 😊🙏👍
Lovely Steve. Have you tried the no-sink glitters from IntoResin yet? They work a treat
How long does it take to get orders from IntoResin?

I prefer shimmer to glitter
Those turned out so great and so pretty!

Lovely bears!! Thank you so much for all of your inspiration!!
Game changer!! I have around 500 glitters and they all sink and they are super high quality, ssoooo I’m getting the ones you used there🤪

I got you resin mixing set with the large mat...... brilliant love how big the mat is 😊
I absolutely love the color. Me and my grand son both born in Aug and seeing the big and small pieces side by side made me think of it ❤
Absolutely freakin' gorgeous, those glittery teddies are just beautiful! I ❤ your work and your tips, that helped me so much! Thank you ❣️❣️❣️
Thank you, Dr. Mc.
I have those glitters. They are great 👍
I need to get the big wipes though 😊

Ive been looking for that large bear mold. Can you please let me know where you bought it❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing!❤
They look awesome!
If you take a tiny dot of clear Elmer's glue and add to the resin, it will suspend the chunkier glitters as well. Not with UV though.
That’s good to know that the glue doesn’t work with the UV resin. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏 Steve; always great to have glitters that stay suspended ❤❤
The big bear is a cell phone holder. 😊

I just bought the resiners bubble remover on Amazon for $110.00. Great price. I live in the US, not sure if that matters
Wow! Guess I’ll have to put it on my Wish list for Christmas! That’s a bit spendy!

Thanks!!
I have this glitter. I have had no problem with it sinking.
Quedo bueno
I’d love to know where you can get the cleaner??
Steve do you have a link for the spray you used for cleaning?
Hello Steve, thanks for the wipes and spray clean up tips..fantastic. But where did you find the big wipes spray please?
You should have shined the light through it to see how cool it would look.
How do you become a member?
I have the Resiners bubble remover, but I'm still getting micro bubbles. What am I doing wrong?😢 I use JDICTION 1:1 epoxy.
Im in Australia, can you send a link or discount codes for au plz
Let the air out? That is a vacuum chamber, is it not? If it is a pressure pot I've never seen one that small.
Interesting experiment. 👍

I use auto metal flakes for glitter, they don't sink
👌🏻👍🏻
