@@LordoftheFleet Suella Braveman is still the home secretary which is a national disgrace and Rishi Sunak doesn`t need to hold a general election until december 2024 which is a long time. People should not pretend they`re out of office, cause they`re not.
No media points out the reality that most of the anti EU politicians are liars. When Boris was foreign secretary he didn't know basic foreign policy history. The media made a massive fuss when he said a dumb unimportant comment on a TV show, but the media didn't care when he said on the same show that there wasn't a vote on the 2nd war against Iraq, when more Tory MPs had voted yes to it than other parties. That means he either puts on a clown act to get away with telling lies and the media is in with him. Or him and the media are stupid.
Michael Gove said in Guardian Education that Labour were liars for saying Tories would get rid of EMA if they won the election, and then Tories did take away EMA when they won the election.
Others, like ex Tory banker Nigel Farage who was paying his foreign wife on tax payers expenses and hiding money in tax havens, pretends he's nationalist, when he's a capitalist Tory who wants us closely linked with USA banks encouraging greed and debt. He resigned as soon as he talked people into voting to leave the EU, to leave us out the EU with Tories in power.
Nigel Lawson who was Chancellor when the economy crashed in the early 90s after Tories did the opposite of Germany in the 80s by making millions unemployed, and left us an economy closely linked with USA banks encouraging people to live in debt, was recently advising Britain leave the EU, while he was applying to live in France.
As an English person I'm jealous Scotland can leave the UK to become more like the rest of north Europe and Scandinavia, with politicians who care about people and society. Devolution has already allowed Scotland to stop their students being £50,000 in debt like in England. The media are going hysterical because some Scottish politicians are being looked into financially, while England actually supports and celebrates minor royals being given free palaces and money, from the royal family owning most of our land. While also forgetting most of the anti EU politicians like Boris Johnson were sacked from previous governments for lying.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. The Blair years are worlds apart from the last 13; public services actually functioned and saw investment. Sadly there doesn't seem to be sufficient support amongst the electorate for Labour to win with left wing policies and even if there were they will just get relentlessly smeared by the media barons ad nauseam until people buy the lies. Better a centre left Labour that can actually navigate the media minefield, attract floating voters and win an election than continuing to gift elections to a Conservative party that drifts ever further right.
Rupert Murdoch should of been stood with them when they opened the boot with corbyn in it though. 😂

I was thinking that. The irony is that he can now devote his entire energy to screwing Sunak, and thus, in a curious inversion, inadvertantly do the country a huge favour.
No it isn't. Because he is now entitled to a huge pension payed for entirely by taxes. He wouldn't have been had he been sacked.
