A good way to judge acting on something is to turn off the sound. And just watch the actor/actress. I think you can tell whether they are good or not. Kevin Spacey said that you can tell good acting from bad acting when it's dubbed into a different language. But since most of the time you can't do that, I think muting the sound is the next best thing.
