    How does the Pace barefoot shoe by Freet do in long term testing. After 150 miles running, plus cycling, walking and every day use has is fell a part? Lost it's shape? it's colour? it's grip? it's comfort?
    This long term review answers all those questions and more.

    Hi, I own the Pace, the feldom, and Bootie. They are amazing. I also like running and will be training for a marathon in them. As we know, nothing is perfect, but I have transitioned into these shoes, and I have been telling my friends and work colleagues how brilliant they are. I would recommend Freet.

      Hi Susan, thats great to hear that you are liking the Freet Pace and the Feldom and Bootie too. I am very pleasantly surprised at how good the Pace have performed over the couple of years that I have had them. When I first got them I wasn't blown away by their looks and thought the flyknit wouldn't last. I now think they are probably the most usable and understated shoe in my collection, so I'll be getting some other pairs of Freet too 😁 I like the look of the Feldom, and also the new Calver

    Quality video, Ash 👌 Picture and editing look great, and your presentation was pro level. I can learn a lot from this. You've almost sold me on the shoes as well, though I don't currently need any 👍🏻🙂

      Cheers Mark, been working on this one for a while and I appreciate your comments 🙂 Still working on the editing and it might be time to get some decent editing software, as I'm starting enjoy putting the videos together and spend a bit more time on them.
      And the shoes surprised me, didn't think I was going to like them as much as I do 😁

    These are at the top of my list to try. I've been struggling to find shoes wide enough, so I'm hoping these will fit.

    100%! I'm a big fan of Freet and these are my favourite of the lot. I've been wearing barefoots since the earliest days of the Vivo Barefoot and Freet are the only brand that makes good looking shoes with good grip, that don't shock you on hard terrain. And unlike other brands, their soles last for ages (looking at you, Feelgrounds!). The only weakness is the lightweight woven uppers - e.g. this model - don't last as long as I'd like.

      Good that you like the Pace too, they have become one of my favourite barefoot shoes. I like Vivo as well, but didn’t get on with their Tracker. Be interested to see how uppers on these Pace hold up over a longer time frame, as so far they have really surprised me how durable they have been. Thanks for taking the time to comment 😁 I’ve another pair of Freet just arrived and I’m looking forward to reviewing those too 👍

    I own the Freet Tanga and definitely agree regarding the durability but also the drawbacks regards the coffe ground knit.

    • @skinnylegsbarefootshoes
      @skinnylegsbarefootshoes  8 месяцев назад

      When I got these it was between the Tanga and the Pace. The Tanga look a nice more minimal and natural shoe than the Pace. Glad the durability is just as strong, the characteristics of the coffee bean knit are the same across the range then by the looks of it

    I also have the Freet Ibex which is a great boot.

      Like the look of the Ibex boots, Freet have some nice looking boots in their range. I need to get myself some! I’ll take a deeper look into the Ibex 👍

    I love the Pace but I have the same issue. I have to leave the insole in. Otherwise the volume is too much. However, since I am transitioning to barefoot shoes the cushion is awesome.

    • @skinnylegsbarefootshoes

      I know what you mean, I’m finding myself reaching for these every time I’m heading out the door, as long as it’s not raining. That 6mm insole, along with the knitted upper, is making them feel so comfortable - really loving wearing them 😁👍

      @skinnylegsbarefootshoes I am the same way! I think I may have overdone my barefoot transition and having a bit of pain in the left forefoot. I am thankful for these shoes. They still have very flexible soles and the upper is extremely comfortable!

      @@jurkjaredgamez8392 That’s interesting, they definitely don’t feel heavy - even with the knitted upper, unless they are wet. What weight does it say on the website?

    • @jurkjaredgamez8392
      @jurkjaredgamez8392 4 месяца назад +1

      @skinnylegsbarefootshoes it's more 290 grams according to the website which would be 10.2 ounces. Compared to the reading you got. That's still considered fairly lighweight, but I wear the xero hfs whihx is like 7.8 and feels nice and light.

    I got the freet tanga and the coffee upper chafed my feet so bad even with socks and at the heel it had a manufacturing defect so i would not recommend to waste your money

    • @skinnylegsbarefootshoes
      @skinnylegsbarefootshoes  8 месяцев назад

      Interesting, that’s a real shame that they chaffed and had a manufacturing fault too. I wonder if I’ve been lucky with the Pace? When I bought these it was between the Tanga and the Pace - glad I went with the Pace in the end, the Tanga are a good looking shoe though so it’s not good that you had these issues with them.

    • @williamwallace410

      I have had both the tanga and the pace. The first gen tanga indeed chafed my feet at the heel in the beginning. It took some time, but after that it stops and they become the most wonderfully comfortable casual shoes. I bought the second gen tanga’s because they are my favorite casual shoes now. And the second gen are different in the heel, so they should chafe less. I haven’t worn them yet, they are a spring / summer shoe for me. The pace never had the chafing problem because the heel is constructed differently. I love the Pace for playing basketball in. Lovely shoes.
