    Get rid of the vocal break using this video as a guide. Lex will demonstrate exercises to eliminate the break or crack. Watch his progress from nine months ago to today. This video is for everyone with a break or not, who needs help getting the larynx down so they don't break or pull chest. If a 16 year old young man going through his vocal change can do this YOU CAN DO IT TOO!

      *I have not sung as well as I would like, nor do I have the basics of singing for the sake of studying little. But I have a problem in often singing and the voice cut and then I lose the rhythm and emotion of the song. Can this be a problem in the way of breathing or physiognomy? Not to mention salivation gets in the way a lot. Are problems related to the wrong way of breathing for singing?*

      When the voice cuts out, it's usually the larynx rising not a breathing problem...nor salivating.

    You may get a faster connection on the EE vowel which kinda naturally makes you sing and navigate through the register building that clean noticeable break. And its not strenuous on the while singing the EE vowel it builds a beautiful ringing and resonance. With this exercise multiple vocal goals will be achieved.

    That should say “wouldn’t classify him as a bass at this stage anyway”. Are you basing this on where he’s breaking? his timbre? His range?

  • @obsessinging
    @obsessinging 4 года назад +2

    I know this is the light and right approach, and keeping a stable larynx can assist in second harmonic going into second formant but it’s all so weak. I would just work on the concept of the spoken voice thinning as you go higher. Much more robust this way and then get a good m2 to maintain good ct function which will assist his overall flexibility

    Thank you so much. It's very important to know that practicing the exercises both take time AND WORK when you put the effort in it. Greetings from Germany again. I am particularly practicing your flip falsetto exercises every day at the moment.
    Thank you so much for your dedicated work, Chuck. It really is a blessing.

    • @PowerToSing

      You have to keep the larynx down so you don't crack. I doubt you are in mix if you crack. Watch this video and follow the directions. ruclips.net/video/d0Ob8WGmvPc/видео.html

    I appreciate and understand your approach. Gee for keep closure, low larynx assist in connection, this is a very sls approach. I have a massive appreciation for what you do and your knowledge, but for me this is “bridging” way too early and not building any call or strength into the voice. I understand through and after the five stages of voice change co ordinating the voice can be tricky and very heavy in production but don’t believe this approach will help him sing better as he can’t lean in at all and still sounds like two completely different voices. I would classify either as bass, baritone etc at this age anyway. In my experience and opinion he’ll never be able to sing strong in the mid voice with this approach and has no real practical application to actual singing. Yes, he’s Improved in connecting to very light m2 but in no way does he sound truly connected to me. I think this approach also solidified a concept of “two voices” which I don’t think is very useful in the long run. I’m not trying to rant but after 9 months and RUclips video I expected betttr results

    Nice video, but I am confused, when it is connected, is the top note in M1 register (chest/full cords vibration) or M2 (head/falsetto/partial cords vibration)? Or it is just all M1 but just getting thinner?
    Thank you very much!!!

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  3 года назад +1

      The tone remains connected when the muscle in the vocal cords stays engaged. If this muscle disengages, I say there is a disconnected tone because when you want to get back to chest, you must reengage the muscle first. Otherwise, without the muscle your cords remain in falsetto.

      @PowerToSing  3 года назад +1

      @@daimong4553 No. It's not all chest. As the pitch ascend, the lower overtones drop out as the resonance shifts into the head cavities . The upper overtones become the dominant sounds of the head voice...no chest overtones.

    • @daimong4553
      @daimong4553 3 года назад

      @@PowerToSing How about the mechanism of the vocal cord? Is the full body of the cord vibrating throughout the scale, or transiting from full body vibration to partial vibration (just the edge vibrating)? I might be wrong, but as i known, a crack is produced by shifting from whole cord vibration to partial cord vibration. Therefore, is there no crack, whether is full body vibration of the cord throughout a scale, or transiting from full cord vibration to partial cord vibration with "hiding" the crack?

      Knowing Lex like I do, I'm confident his progress would be similar to yours. There's no comparison between our voices when you are going through the vocal change. That being said, I have have students where the change wasn't that significant and they were able to get it faster and easier...but none of them were low basses like Lex. Do you know your classification? Tenor? Baritone?

    I have a question... Is it possible to find your mixed voice without actually being able to connect your chest voice to your head voice?
    The reason why I ask is because I think I have found my mixed voice, but I can't connect my chest voice to it. I can transition from my head voice to this mysterious voice, but not my chest voice. Can you please help me out, I would really appreciate it.
    Here's a link to how I sound: ruclips.net/video/USSGVQTyxsA/видео.html

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  5 лет назад +1

      Yes it's possible to be in mix but not be able to blend back into your chest voice. If the larynx comes up even though you are descending in pitch, it can disconnect into falsetto on the way down...or you can pull the head voice down too low with is difficult to blend into your chest all at once. You want to do these exercises which will help you keep the larynx down and build the transition (bridge area) of your voice.www.powertosing.com/pulled-chest-high-larynx-2/ Good luck
