there actually is, but it is just Barely noticeable. if you listen very very closely on D.O's longer notes you can just barely hear the vocal fry from the reverb/tuning, thats what i noticed anyways. But D.O definitely doesnt need auto tune, autotune needs Him 😂😂

I believe when D. O sings this live its way better than the production because that's what Exo does really every single time 🔥 and D. O does most of the adlibs for Exo songs.

As someone who study vocal pedagogy, D.O.'s agility is almost incomparable in KPOP yes. But outside of it, there are plenty of singers who can do runs just as good if not better than him. Also amazing singers or not, autotune exist in almost all songs produced in music industry as part of processing in studio version, particularly for correcting pitch or to create certain audio effects.

@@ericacella1180 autotune doesn't always sound like the typical audio effect u always hear in some songs. The main purpose of the autotune is to correct the pitches of the song in case the singer was being flat/sharp. The use of autotune in songs with more vocal like this might be minimal. But it's never zero for said purpose above. It's part of audio processing & I think it's time for us to fight the negative stigma of autotune by trying to learn about it properly.

Lena Park & Sohyang are also really good as well, esp in their HV. So yeah there are not many but still a handful of them.

You can check his MV "That's Okay" and his live recording "That's Okay" and that's exactly the same. We can tell it's different because he sang a bit different in one part. But that's it. His voice is that good. You can check many of his live performance or exo acoustic medley. They are that good.
Would really recommended Lay Zhang's Boom and Flipped. He is part of EXO and also a music producer. Would be interesting to see how he reacts to reggaeton being mixed with some chinese elements.

There is no autotune. But I understand why you think so. The reason you felt that way is because the pitch of D.O's vocal skills is so clear. If you listen to exo's songs, you'll understand what I'm saying. It doesn't matter which exo's song you listen to. Check out d.o's run. You will be able to confirm the vocal skill with a very clear pitch, not autotune.
He has not used autotune, he has shown how he sings "Si fueras mía" in one of his audios that I send in bubble. Sounding the same and with some new arrangements that his voice produces when singing.
How does one tell if autotune was used? I can only ever tell when it is very obviously done (like in EXO's Lotto), and I don't hear it when people say "oh there's autotune". Is there a certain sound it makes? I am glad that Daniel knows that D.O. doesn't need auto tune, if it was actually used.
In my ears, when there is auto tune it sounds metallic, maybe a little bit robotic. Personally, I don't like that style, it hurts my ears, when I hear it.
I went back to listen to D.O.'s album and I didn't hear the autotune.... Idk if it's just so slight that I couldn't pick it up or if he's hearing the acoustic sort of reverb thinking it's autotune. Possibly it's a setting when the person uploaded the song for the lyric video or setting with the devices being used. I see a lot of comments saying, "that's just his voice," but I wanted to see if I could hear it myself and honestly sometimes fans can be in denial or oblivious of autotune and pitch correction that is used; like, it's extremely common in all music nowadays that we're so used to it. And that's nothing against EXO or any artist, of course.

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all. He is in EXO, the best vocal kpop group and he is the main vocalist, being within top 5 among 3rd generation kpop male vocalist, exceptionally known as his runs and riffs. This song is in his debut album which is a fully acoustic album, guitar and his voice. I wouldn't deny there is any post production but it's pretty normal for every single studio album. But I am pretty sure his voice isn't autotuned.

The reason you felt that way is because the pitch of D.O's vocal skills is so clear. If you listen to exo's songs, you'll understand what I'm saying. It doesn't matter which exo's song you listen to. Check out d.o's run. You will be able to confirm the vocal skill with a very clear pitch, not autotune.
He has not used autotune, he has shown how he sings "Si fueras mía" in one of his audios that I send in bubble. Sounding the same and with some new arrangements that his voice produces when singing.

How does one tell if autotune was used? I can only ever tell when it is very obviously done (like in EXO's Lotto), and I don't hear it when people say "oh there's autotune". Is there a certain sound it makes? I am glad that Daniel knows that D.O. doesn't need auto tune, if it was actually used.
Sadly nowadays every song in kpop uses autotune regardless of how good the singer is. But yes, D.O actually doesn’t need it ;)
In my ears, when there is auto tune it sounds metallic, maybe a little bit robotic.

I went back to listen to D.O.'s album and I didn't hear the autotune.... Idk if it's just so slight that I couldn't pick it up or if he's hearing the acoustic sort of reverb thinking it's autotune. Possibly it's a setting when the person uploaded the song for the lyric video or setting with the devices being used. I see a lot of comments saying, "that's just his voice," but I wanted to see if I could hear it myself and honestly sometimes fans can be in denial or oblivious of autotune and pitch correction that is used; like, it's extremely common in all music nowadays that we're so used to it. And that's nothing against EXO or any artist, of course.

After hearing a lot of him singing even live I don't find any differences in his voice. May be wrong since I'm not a professional and this guys is. But personally i don't hear any autotune

Do Kyungsoo is just an incredible person that I will never stop admiring. At first glance, the album, the songs and his vocals may seem simple, but in fact it is not so at all.
