Also the first canid and ancestor of the wolf appeared 10 millions later after the first land cetacean. There is absolutely no relation between these two clades, except that they are mammals

I think it's unfair to compare the difference between Rebels' ending shot with Ahsoka S1E2's ending shot because they're essentially the exact same shot but Filoni decided to expand the story about it.
The robe colour change from white to gray is also possibly a creative decision to reflect Ahsoka's position right now as "Gandalf The Grey" and then transitions into "Gandalf The White" at the end.
I'm pretty sure all the animators from Rebels never would've thought their story get a chance to get really expanded like this so I'm sure they're trying to put a lot of stuff to give us closure for each characters in the ending.

Whales absolutely DID NOT come from Wolves. Come on NR's writers, do better. Whales and wolves share a common ancestor, that resembled a mix between a pakir & a wolf w/hooves called a Pakicitus. A wolf didn't walk up to water & decide to stay until it became a whale, because wolves weren't even a thing for many millions of years still. It's fascinating territory though, & interestingly a Killer Whale & a Walrus are more closely related to wolves than to each other.

I think another way to look at the use of the word Doom/Dume is to remember that Dave Filoni is a big fan of Tolkien, as we see his use of Gandalf as inspiration for aspects of Ahsoka. Tolkien uses the word Doom quite a bit in his storytelling. But Tolkien’s use of Doom is connected to a much older meaning of that word. When you see Doom in Tolkien stories you can substitute the word Fate. This was his primary meaning for Doom, which does not necessarily have the ominous meaning that we associate with Doom in our modern use of the word. I see this as a common error that people make when they are trying to understand Tolkien stories. So just something to keep in mind here.
