I have not seen the modern part but normally it refers to new construction and malls etc. Don't think foreigners and youtubers will be interested in it as modern side don't form the part of culture and history.

Nahari was always eaten in the morning as it's such a rich dish. But with different ethnic groups coming to Karachi and it becoming more common nahari is eaten both in the morning and in the evening.

Yeah we were both surprised too 😂 agree with you about avoiding meat. Ash has been veggie for around 6+ years so usually always avoids meat but she does eventually give into trying meat in Pakistan (in our future videos)
@@AshAndDan. I think Grilled food on skewers are generally fine but I would probably avoid meat dishes. Pakistan serves great vegetarian dishes too so Ash will be fine there. I have only been to Pakistan once even though I'm a British born and bred with Pakistani heritage so I know all about Pakistani/Indian food as I have it almost daily but I am hoping to travel to Pakistan again in the near future - that is after I have done other places that are on my bucket list (Croatia, Albania, Costa Rica, South Korea) . Like you guys, I have travelled more than 35 to 40 countries (including India and Pakistan and another 20 countries in Asia alone) and half of them more than once

Whenever I have visited Pakistan, it doesn't matter which area, the hospitality is the best in the world and they don't charge us for the food. You will never get this type of amazing treatment anywhere in the world. Even though my family are originally from India, the Pakistani people treat us like their guests. Once we went to Kashmir and virtually the whole village came to greet us as they had never seen anyone who reverted to Islam (my wife). The ladies took her away and I did not see her for nearly two days. They looked and cared for us which we cannot ever forget. Pakistan ...... Hospitality is number one and so are the people.

As a british pakistani its lovely to see u guys going there and exploring the culture makes me miss pakistan but yeah i used to wake up early just to go get halwa puri breakfast its just the best! I love islamabad but lahores hustle and bustle also has a different feeling and has a lot of history...For me when I go pakistan I love the calmness of capital city of islambad but lahore is my ultimate fav city!

In karachi( Sindh side) people mostly eat nihari at night. But in Punjab side as breakfast .
