  • Not been started for 10 months, starts on the second pull, not surprising really as I have had this rotavator for 23 years and she always starts this good and has never let me down.

I've been using this machine for a few years on an irregular plot in Spain with dry stony soil and it works really well. Strong motor, starts without problems and has a useful reverse gear to get out of tight corners. It was expensive but I don't regret at all spending the extra money.

@rickvanman Thanks for your comment....when I bought the rotavator new 23 years ago it was around £850 if I remember correctly, which seemed a lot of money at the time, but seeing how well she has served me,and she still has a lot more life in her yet,it was money well spent, you certainly won't regret buying yours.

Thanks for the video response - yes I'm amazed at how well the F501 starts. It's interesting to see the other allotment holders sometimes struggling with their machinery, trying to get it started and keep it running, but the Honda just does exactly what it says on the tin - no fuss, no drama - it's the best bit of machinery i've ever brought.
It's just a shame you have to walk over the nicely tilled ground as soon as it's been cut, now if they came up with one that runs backwards.... :o)

@balmesh Thanks...the old rotavator saves on a lot of back breaking work...and is also a lot quicker than doing it by hand.

If we had a vegetable garden I'd get one of those! Great stuff.
