    Great, I have model F310 from my oil is dripping and is much more wet from oil waiting for parts new simmering water seals.
    Any idea where I can get that transmission cover what you show on the beginning of videos that two metals , my is bit damages from rust around that circle, trying finded them everywhere no luck , always tells me is to old.
    England
    Transmission inside has milk colour. I bought second-hand this machine. I have no idea how many owners have before, but I'm trying to bring her back to life , I started with an engine, which on the first day did not run at all new fuel , new spark plug , cleaned carburettor on second day engine cutch and run like new .
    But that two metal cover shield I needed new from somewhere.

    what did you put on the transmission seal before install, antiseize or a sealant and grease?

      Outside the seal it was grey silicone and inside just some oil for easy sliding

    How often do you need to Change the Transmission oil so the seal doesn’t leak

    • @mechanicunderthetree7543
      @mechanicunderthetree7543  8 месяцев назад +1

      Seal goes bad if you don't remove the tines pretty much after every use and clean the weeds or threads wrapped around the transmission shaft and then making their way into the stamped steel protectors and then eventually into the water seal. Its called a water seal as it keeps water and debris out and the oil in. Oil doesn't need to be replaced too often if it's not getting milky, contaminated with water or some other contamination. Its the same oil used in your engine and is not that expensive. I would say it depends on use as well. But replace it every 2-3 years if not using much or annually if using it quite a bit.
