Apparently Amazon caught wind and the latest "update" deems this not working :(
So stupid that Amazon music has a button, absolutely useless waste of space. I need a RUclips button not their dumb music app

did they break the functionality of this recently? I just downloaded the netflix remapper after deleting the actual netflix, and I chose an app, but when I try to open it using the button it won't work. It'll work if I open the app that looks like netflix manually, it'll open the other one instead, but the actual button on the remote doesn't work.
So is there no code for RUclips?
This didn't work for me, followed the steps and the button does nothing, re tried it but when i click open on the remapper this time it auto sends me to the mapped app, the remote still wont do it though.

No joy. New 4k MAX remote has Prime/Netflix/Directv/Peacock. I attempted to reassign the Netflix button to RUclips TV. App said I was successful but it does not respond to Netflix button. Remapper only launches the new app by launching the remapper app from the manage apps utility menu. Button is not being intercepted. Sorry. Must be a moving target. If it did work, I'd ask for Directv and Peacock remappers too, but.......
What is the code for remapping youtube? Just plain youtube.
Great video, but do you have the AFT code for RUclipsTV. I want to assign the HULU button to that. YoutTube TV is the code that was not listed.
If you want to replace Hulu then you put hulu code. Different apps don't have different codes. The codes are for different buttons.
I'm going to repost a question from below hoping it will get answered.
What's not clear is whether I can reinstall apps after the remap. Suppose I want Netflix, but want the Netflix button to bring up HBO MAX. I can uninstall Netflix, then do the mapping per the video. If I then reinstall Netflix, am I good to go with the button still working for HBO MAX, or will it revert?
Finally! It works great and also has a benefit/side effect if you use it to remap a button to kodi. by default if I start kodi, press home and try to get back to the app by clicking on the icon it will bug out of the app and force close, but using the button and remapper app allows me to get back to the app without it getting killed!
How did you find the remapper code for kodi?
I am trying to use for kodi and button is completely disabled. This sounds great if I can ever get mine to work properly!
@@jdub8305 the remap code isn't associate with the app you want to use. It's associated with the button you want to use. IE: You want to use Disney+ button on your remote for kodi then use the disney+ button. However, I'm using FS 4K Max OS7 and it isn't working for me. It remaps the app but the button is disabled on mine.
Not only did it not work, the button I tried reprogramming is now completely dead. Doesn't do anything at all now. Thanks
If you clear the data for the remapper app and then uninstall it. It will work as before.

Hi, followed your instructions but when I press Disney+ button on the firestick remote it does nothing and does not open the Tivimate app. When I go to settings, managed installed applications and launch remapping app, it brings me to tivimate.

I did remapper for DISNEY+ (2214) And chose teatv to open when I push Disney button. (DONT WORK) I made sure DISNEY+ app is uninstalled but still DISNEY+ button does nothing when pressed on Firestick 4K max Even though it’s set to open teatv :-(

I am experiencing an issue where the button on the remote is disabled and I have to click on the corresponding icon on my firestick to open the app. I might as well just do without this and click on the app I want to open then. Remap app sucks if it doesn't work. Running Firestick 4k Max with latest OS7. If you have any updates or suggestions on this let me know.
Same for me, I push Disney+ after I installed Disney remapper and the Disney button on the remote does nothing, I have Disney+ app uninstalled on my firestick so it won’t interfere. But I push Disney+ button and teatv does not open like I have it set for :-(

It keeps taking me through the same steps and that screen of selecting what app to remap to never shows up, it just keeps reinstalling the app and not letting me me open it

I would assume that if you reinstall the app for the original button, it'll just open the app the button is supposed to open.
Hey, I want it to open SmartTubeNext, which works when I open the remapper app from the settings, but not when I press the button (Disney+ for me). Do you have any idea why? I'm using a 2nd generation Fire TV Cube.

NO LONGER WORKS. I remapped Hulu button to open RUclipsTV. Clicking on the Hulu icon on firestick works, pressing button on remote does nothing now.

Probably not since Amazon doesn't let you uninstall live. I'm interested though.
@@esaron1071 That's a shame, because it's plugged into my TV, and the purpose of a TV is literally to let somebody watch live TV. That's the only actual source required in order for it to be called a TV. To not let you remap it to the TV's default source for live content is pretty bad. It's not as if they don't know that they are selling to many cord cutters.

Hello, please explain about the button mapper software and how to work with this software. I have a Xiaomi TV. When I installed the button mapper software on this TV, there was a disturbance in some of the Airmos and control functions that I was using, for example. To increase and decrease the volume, I cannot hold the button permanently, and I had to increase and decrease the volume by tapping each time the button is pressed, and also after installing this program, I could not change the language of the Irmos keyboard. Are these problems the same? Is it related to fixing the BOSB bug??? If it is relevant, please teach me how to fix these problems because I really need it

Fire stick 4K mouse scrolling is not working as expected sometimes while scrolling apps or movies list, if i press one time, it scrolls for more than 3 times. Unable to choose the app or movie i need. Any suggestions?

Finally. The buttons weren't useful to me. I don't have Disney plus or Hulu and now i am able to launch apps I Actually use.
I cut the cord and use RUclips tv instead of cable now. It’d be great to have a remap to that app.

@@MaxDoody tbh i only watch golf channel. I like the fact i can record pga events and golf. Up to 6 profiles. I havent gad traditional cable since i was on dad’s payroll lol
Had youtubetv for a year then they raised price from $65 to $73 decided too high. Excellent streaming features though, of all of them, it's fastest, best featured and local channels

Not working for me. I even did a factory reset, did not transfer my old device. Installed Sling TV. Set up developer options, installed downloader downloaded code 2210 based on instructions, opened Remapper for Netflix, and selected Sling TV. The only thing that happens, is that the HDMI 3 input displays in the upper left corner. Of I try and map a different app, I get the same result, WON'T OPEN an app. Is there a different code for Netflix remapper app? Possibly a bug with this version.

Worked at first. Well, once. Then the button stopped responding. Uninstalled, now the button is back to normal.

Sorry the Disney plus 2214 button doesn't work. It's there but goes to Disney plus only which is not installed so as not found screen comes up. Interestingly if I select remapper app in my apps it takes me to lionsgate or you tube or what ever is assigned but not the button unfortunately.
That is what mine does for the Disney. It was working but then it quit.

@@frutyups from what i understand you need to install Hulu first then uninstall many devices (like mine) are bought without the hulu app. thats the solution BUT i cannot install Hulu easily so im stuck with a dead button

This is way you buy a chromecast. You don't have to deal with this. Just download a button remapper and your done. Why Firestick makes it so hard is beyond me

Just in case you didn't know (and maybe it won't help on this video but perhaps a future tutorial video that's going too fast for you...), you can slow down (or speed up) any youtube video by clicking the settings gear icon (next to the cc 'closed captions' icon) and adjusting the 'playback speed'.
