I am from Pakistan. Watched this movie today. This is the best sports movie India has ever produced. The political scenarios and social realities like cast were so delicately placed to support story line. I am in awe of this movie.

This trailer is one of the reason why We North Indian have shifted our taste from Bollywood to South Indian Movie Industry. Pure Classic.

This movie is loosely based on my friend's grandfather North Chennai Boxer K.Sundar Raj of Sarpatta Parambarai. He was India's best during the British rule and also the guru of Knockout Arumugam. His legacy is still alive through Sundar Raj Boxing Club. His son and grandson are running it in Marina Beach.

Malayalam and Tamil industry are both rising, Tamil has produced some gems which Bollywood will obviously remake and Malayalam industry though smaller, is so raw and realistic when it comes to their films and deserves more recognition…Bollywood is slowly going to the gutter…Telugu industry is whatever, they make some good quality films but most r still interested in the masala type films which is why lots of Bollywood viewers watch Telugu films because they have the same taste in basic entertainer type movies. Tbh, Malayalam and Tamil r leading when it comes to great films.

The reason I replied so was, people read stuff and believe them and may get a wrong impression nothing else. I only meant to say both movies are poles apart in terms of setting and storyline.
This is the beauty of South Indian movies….all in Sarapatta Parambarai have important roles and they excelled it, sometimes they made bigger impact than Arya’s character. Imagine if this is a Salman Khan or other Bollywood actors movie…they won’t give credit to supporting roles and sometimes to actresses. Nowadays Actresses in Bollywood doesn’t have much to do except flirting with the lead character and to do some item dances.
