    That's really great. Hope some day they'll make a "micro-LPVO". I don't care to put any current LPVO's on my rifle because they're too bulky.

      Update: My optic arrived yesterday… I can’t wait to go shoot this thing on my FAL 🫡! Looks good and with the QD mount I can go to irons in less than 10 seconds if needed. Looks clear enough, lightweight, and adds some needed magnification to a .308 - 500m capable weapon. Won’t know if it’s worth it until I try to zero it in a few days.

    I'm interesed in PA's prisms. For general use, would you say a 5x with a red dot on top would be the best choice? Then you can have some distance on it but also good capabilities up close

    • @SurvivorMetalMan
      @SurvivorMetalMan  2 года назад +1

      That would be a great combo, it would very well together.

    • @mikef3808
      @mikef3808 2 года назад

      @Emmanuel Goldstein The 5x has a rail to mount a dot. The goal I guess would be to be able to keep your head up to improve situational awareness. Would just have to train around the offset.

      @@mikef3808 I bought a PA 5x ACSS for my POF P415 Edge. I have had no problem adapting that scope for CQB as well as distance. The thing I like about that scope is the ability to go red or green on the reticle. I also have a RRA 15X with a PA LPVO 1x6 that is a great option. I like both of these setups. When I bought the 5x I was thinking the 3x might be better for my needs. I was wrong and am glad I got the 5x. The 3x doesnt have the red/green option. Before you put out the cheddar for a dot, spend some time at the range and see if you even need one.

      It would be awesome, but at that distance, the Cyclops ACSS would work best. But 15 to 20 with 3x would work too, and be clear.

    I have been interested since it came out. But I cant get a answer to my liking. I have had the 1x cyclops but the reticle waa useless for my eyes. How does it compare? Is the reticle bigger than cyclops? Hiw does it compare to the old 3x or 5x prisims?

    • @SurvivorMetalMan
      @SurvivorMetalMan  Год назад

      The 3x micro reticle is bigger than the cyclops reticle. Did you have the first generation cyclops? the newest version also has a bigger reticle than the original.
      The difference between the newest versions from the older 3x or 5x, is mostly size and weight, being lighter and more compact on the newer versions. FOV and eye relief are about the same.

      @@SurvivorMetalMan thanks. Yeah I had gen1 cyclops. My old eyes found it useless. I have been hesitant at getting another micro style optic. I can use the standard 3x and 5x just fine. If the etched reticle on these is the same then I am in.

    • @SurvivorMetalMan
      @SurvivorMetalMan  Год назад

      @@silverback3926 yeah, a lot of people didn’t like the Gen1 cyclops, said the reticle was too small. The Gen2 cyclops reticle is much bigger, and the 3x micro reticle is about the same as the regular 3x.
