In the North West of England fatberges are becoming more common especially in cities with large numbers of fast food places that the water company is actively encouraging consumers to have a container for their waste fats, so they are not washed down the kitchen sink or WC's.

Spectacular on both lines. I had a chuckle when you tossed on the big penetrator in the stormwater pipe thinking back to a few videos where you got it stuck.....then sent it up again after getting it out. I was betting you would toss on the small penetrator but in true "Penetrator" style, you knew your task at hand and knew exactly what to toss at it. Your videos continue to impress me more and more. You are a class act, and the people there are very fortunate to have you Sir, as well as us in youtube land.....I really hope everyone else knows that. Coming from someone who slings nozzles up pipes I have learned a LOT watching you, and have put a few things into practice with amazing results. I want to personally thank you for the effort you put into your work, and what it takes to put these videos together. You have a sense of pride that is undeniable, and you need to be very proud of yourself for not only performing a task but doing it in style.

Why don't you put your hose spool more in-line with the direction you are trying to go with the hose, or say 20 degrees off to prevent the spray coming out the pipe from covering everything? If you did this you'd minimize your tangles. Just an observation.....love your videos, so satisfying when you clear the block and show us with the camera.

I know that you're not supposed to pour grease, fat, and such down a kitchen drain, but almost everyone does. Would pouring boiling water down the drain each time you do pour grease down it do any good? To a non-plumber, it seems that the boiling water would keep the grease from getting hard before it got to the actual sewer. Of course that would, maybe, only work for that type of stoppage - you'd still have hair/paper/wipes blockages and of course tree roots to contend with which would definitely be an actual plumber job.

🙂Why do people insist on putting grease down their kitchen drains? It's just as easy to pour in an old coffee can and dispose of, would save people from having these problems. My plumber told me nothing down sinks but detergent & water and nothing in toilets but toilet paper, no wipes, etc. 😲 I have a septic tank in my back yard, get it pumped out every 5-6 years (1-person house) and never had a problem like the Aussies have. It's seems like their drain systems in general, need updating. My plumber also told me to flush kitchen and bathroom sinks with just hot water, and no chemicals, for 5 minutes after done using and I wouldn't have any problems, he was right 🙂 Maybe you should suggest to clients to pour grease in old coffee cans or any old can. Greetings from Western Massachusetts, USA 🙂

Just think, if you redesign a welder's helmet, you can put lights on it, maybe get a depth reading, all kinds of stuff. Maybe put a connection for your camera, then it'd pop up on the helmet instead of the screen.
