I was so glad to see that you were using the fiberglass liner. I told myself, Shirley he's not dumb enough to think there's silicone would be enough to stop routes. He has to know that Roots love silicone. They love to intertwined right through and grow with silicone. I'm glad that you had the smarts to disregard that first slip-of-the-tongue. Everybody has a brain fart every now and then.

Awesome root system removal! I can't believe the amount of soil that comes out with these root balls! One wouldn't think that such a small break in a pipe could leach so much soil. I am constantly in awe. Wish you were in the US.Watching you make that orange thingy is a piece of artwork in itself. I have never seen the like before. Sure could have used it on a few plumbing jobs at my house

Gavin's favorite ,ROOOOOTS ,it's single barrel time ,I enjoy the sound of that nozzle while it chopping those roots up , This one is being a stubborn Bugger ,Love the split image video Gavin super editing ,Relining is a much cheaper option that replacing the pipe especially when it's under concrete ,and it works well .

Fantastic job and so interesting. We don't seem to have such a problem with roots in drains where I live ie Canada. I guess the different is that we have so much cold weather that roots stop growing for a few months of the year! Whereas down under you have such a lovely climate the plants seem to growing rapidly all the time. At least that is my theory!

Wish someone in my area would offer this kind of service. Here in northeast Ohio if a drain is plugged, they use a snake, or as you call it, an eel. If it's storm water, they generally either use the eel or abandon the line and just let the storm water discharge on the ground.

It really fascinates me how you re-line those pipes. Will roots eventually push their way through that resin? And Gavin, one of these days your arm is going to get stuck in a pipe, just sayin. What's to stop roots from continuing to push between the pipe and the re-line over time? Since nature will find a way, how much time does a re-line give property owners before a solid re-do is needed? Thanks for the videos!

Hi Gavin. Through watching yourself, Ollie, Bruce and Tony P (UK), I have been taking notes. If ever I build a house I want floor boards not concrete slab, the kitchen, bathrooms, ensuite, laundry, toilets etc all on outside walls for both incoming water and outgoing sewerage access, storm water pipes from house over to the fence and only under ground at the council strip where it could be dug up easily if needed. And if all else fails, build it up on stilts. What do you think? Would that work for you and required accessibility? Wishful thinking on my part unfortunately. Or should I say only dreaming. 45 not at 90 and it would work a lot better
at 45 degrees it would catch on the bends while trying to pull it out. The basic design of the spray pattern is a cone of about 30 degrees in a circle, which should get 99% of it.
