Have been coming to this park since I moved here in '74 when this was merely a parking area with no improvements. Great hiking trails. As for scorpion 'season', I have seen them scuttling across the sand while camping at Sheep's Bridge Crossing when it was rainy & 50 degrees Fahrenheit. They are just busy little guys. Ditto with rattlers while camping at the East end of Canyon Lake in the A.M. of a cool early March day. Ya just gotta be ever wary of what could be on the ground with ya, including skunks & tarantulas. Az is always interesting! I greatly enjoy your videos senor !
I like your thorough reviews! I also enjoyed the review of Arch Campground in Valley of fire. Looking forward to watching everyone on your videos. Thanks.
i have never been there before, but would like to ! I was only once in around Dallas a couple of years ago, you have a nice channel! Many greetings from Germany, See you soon again! Take care of you.
I live in Apache junction, a few years ago they rearranged that campground to cater to rich old people in RVs, I never pay when I go because of this, they moved the trailhead for actual hikers 1/4 of a mile back to stick RVs there instead
That's a real shame about the renovation of the campground. Having been to many in the last year it was rather apparent that the thought given to tent campers wasn't as high as those in RVs.
Looks like sites 60, 62 & 125 is the best site. Shoot on a hot summer day or freezing winter night $35 for an electric site with those views is priceless, when you have a fan or heater. You nailed the feeling & smells at sunset 🌇 Glenn. Note to self Check Where Restrooms are at BEFORE reserving a site online.
Nice video! We are looking at visiting there sometime this winter and you have convinced us to bring the camper instead of the tent. No way I am walking that far to pee in the middle of the night. Looks like an awesome base camp for some day hikes. Subscribed.
Thanks so much! It is definitely a great base camp for hikes around the Superstitions. But yeah... if you have a way to utilize a bathroom of your own, take that route rather than the long one to the campgrounds facilities. 😂
We are heading there in a few weeks. We are also in a tent. Worried because our site says 5x 7 and we have a six person tent. Hope we can make it work. Thank you for your informative video!!
Great vid. Have a larger tent site (15x22 I think) booked for late Feb 2022. Hoping it is big enough for 4x 2 person backpacking tents! Didn't know there was so much emphasis on RVs. Hope they don't have loud air con running a night in late Feb!
Hope the tents fit for you. And yeah... we didn't realize the emphasis on RVs prior to going there either sadly. A gorgeous place but barely a tent to be seen! 😅
Thank so much! Having restrooms close by is super helpful and desirable at night for sure should late night trips be necessary. Just hopefully not downwind of them! 😅
Another fine episode. Thanks for taking us along. I really like the campground reviews. Any interest in getting a drone? Not sure if it's even allowed at most campgrounds but aerial views would be cool if they are allowed.
We've thought about it, yes! Just not sure if there's enough places we go that allow it. A lot of parks don't but we're still looking to go off the beaten path once we have a vehicle that can go off road a bit. A drone would be awesome there!
The one used in this video was indeed the Northface Stormbreak 2. Wasn't as bad tent! Still have it, just using a different one these days (Coleman Skydome w/ Dark Room - it helps keep the light out on those early, early mornings).
Nice video. Beautiful park and well maintained.
It really is! Thank you! 😊

Oh, no joke about keeping an eye out of what's on the ground. Even cactus spines in your own yard! 😂
Another great video. Very thorough and informative. Us tent campers need to unite and demand more tent space!
Lol! Thank you! It's strange... A lot of places have designated tent area... this one just didn't.
Great video. I hope you can give us soon a video of AJ city. Thanks a lot. 👌🙌
Thank you! 😄
Hb1 hb2 and hb3 are the tent sites. Just tented 2 weeks ago and was Awesome!
So great to hear! 😀
Thank you for the review. Great job with showing some of the campsites and your insight.
Our pleasure! Happy to help and thanks for watching! 😄
Very helpful and insightful video for my future campout, thank you
You're very welcome! Have a great camping trip! 😄
It does look geared toward people with RVs, pretty small spaces for people with tents, another great video.
Yeah, the amount of cleared out and unpaved area for tent campers isn't exactly that large which is a shame, BUT for an RVer it's pretty highly rated.
I saw a huge beautiful cacti that i fell in love with it lols! Enjoy your adventure and stay safe.
Haha! They have a list of personality. Thanks for watching! ☺️
Great job, Glenn!
Thanks so much! 😄

Thanks for the kind comment and for watching! We appreciate it. ☺️
Good job. Yes , a foldable electric bike, or just a regular bike would be sweet for running around campgrounds.
Definitely! Thanks for watching! 😄
Great video! New subscriber from Florida. Hoping to get out west soon so I’m sure your channel will be very helpful!
Happy to help! Welcome aboard! 😊
Wow, I use a 10x14 tent and was hoping to camp here. What a bummer.
It is. A lovely place regardless if one can find a way to make it work.
i have never been there before, but would like to ! I was only once in around Dallas a couple of years ago, you have a nice channel!
Many greetings from Germany, See you soon again! Take care of you.
Awesome! Thank you!
I like the cactus remind me of a cartoon. I just don’t see them every everyday 😎
LOL. I'm constantly looking at the Saguaro around here and giving them little human-like personalities and poses in my mind. 🌵 😅

@@CactusAtlas sorry I ranted in your comments, good channel, subscribed
Not a problem! Believe us... we have opinions about it too. 😉 Just trying to keep things family friendly here for all to enjoy though. 😊

Things you don't think about until you arrive at the campsite, right?? 🤣

You may have to move some things around like I did, but you’ll likely be okay I think. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this, very informative , this place is on my bucket list. I am in a tent so I am going to have to just deal with it.
It's definitely geared more towards RV campers but that said it's still a really nice campground with stunning views. Hope you have an amazing time! 😀
do you have a video along the Apache Trail? Will be staying at Lost Dutchman SP. thanks
We don't, sadly. Once it opens back up again, it's high on our list to do.
Great video! We have a 14x10 tent. Do you think if in a pinch, could you place the tent on the long driveway?
I would say almost certainly. Might make things a lot easier.
👍👍👍
I love those superstitions! So beautiful!! Great review! I prefer to have restrooms a little closer, there is usually a middle of the night visit 😂😂
Thank so much! Having restrooms close by is super helpful and desirable at night for sure should late night trips be necessary. Just hopefully not downwind of them! 😅
It get pretty cold in the winter

OKAY, Subscribed! :D hehehe
Thanks so much and welcome! 😄👍
When are you saying rattlesnakes start coming out more ?
April and October here tend to be the busiest months for rattlesnake sightings.
Is your tent the north face storm break 2 or 3? how do you like it?
