An NC OG here. First, thanks for sharing your travels Road Trip PT. The Smokies and the surrounding areas are awesome. Glad you got some, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. Also, it was very bold of y’all to stop in Gatlinburg on a crowded day. I pass through there sometimes for kayaking and mtb, but rarely stop. If you did not make it on this trip, if in in the area try to make it over to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest on the NC side (not easy to get to). This is one of the few spots remaining of native old growth forest in the east (big a$$ trees). The very best time is early spring when the wildflowers are in bloom, but awesome in the summer as well. Again, thanks for sharing the trips. Cheers!
And thank you for watching. Hope you enjoy them. We were so happy we got to explore this area and being our first time, it didn’t disappoint. Gorgeous place. We were shocked by how packed it was. Drove through once in February and no one was around. We definitely did not make it there. Sounds like a good spot to add to our list of adventures. Hopefully in the future on another trip we can see that area. Love nature. Thanks for sharing the info on places to see. Always enjoy tips from locals!
Ok this video makes it seem like I really love hotdogs and eat them often.. lol Also, props to Kacie for the GoPro shots on that second hike, we should hire her!
It’s so beautiful out there
Still amazed at how beautiful it was. Something special for sure.
@ if I ever win the lottery, I’m definitely buying a cabin somewhere in the smoky Mountains
That would be a great spot. Shoot you could get two cabins if you win.
Some of the hardest days biking were in the smokies for me.
I bet that was some beautiful scenery though from a bike.
Did you bike through Cades Cove?

Haha well corn dogs too. Yes! Also so happy to get some shots of both of us for memories!
The Smoky Mt’s are in NC also
I think I left that part out but we did realize that when we went visiting the park. Need to do some in NC in general as we don’t know that area well.
I guess this was filmed months ago.
Approx 2 months. Usually we run a couple months behind.
No Helene damage?
Some of the trails were damaged by Helene but we are a bit behind in posting and this was literally just a couple weeks before Helene.
