  • Just a quick update on the sheath I got from R.A.E. Gear. Turns out, there were a few extra tools I forgot to mention. I also found that the pocket clip does NOT need to be removed to use the sheath
    Awesome!!

I have a leatherman rebar and it doesn’t not have a pocket clip option what so ever. Could this be clipped in you pocket and work well that way without looking clunky or ridiculous?

Those sheaths are badass. I have 3 for the 300, wave (new), and Charge. Haven't got one with the hex cutouts or bit kit slot yet, but that's a great idea.

Stretch MFE Yes they are!! Best I've found. Finally a sheath that looks as cool (and functions better) as the tool itself. If you really think about it, Multi tools are in engineering marvel. Why can't their sheaths be too!!?? Thanks for the comment.

Hi do you also know that the wave has a internal hidden ring for attachment of a langyard or something else, check when you open the saw you see a little half upstruction, just push a coin against it and it will pop up. 👍

I’m curious to know which sheath u prefer. Do you prefer the one without the bit kit pocket or with??? Can’t decide on which one to get

Michael Gamino It REALLY depends on its intended use. If you use one for work and need the bits, then great. For an everyday carry situation I would never personally carry the bit kit sheath. While it is somewhat “low profile” it is still heavy and bulky compared to the regular one.

Great review! Your video swayed me to purchase this sheath. Any thoughts on replacing the clip with a Blade-Tech belt clip?

Please comment on whether the sheath scratches the tool. Much appreciated.

Does the Wave fit in the sheath with the detachable lanyard ring fitted? Thinking about getting one but having a lanyard attached is a must for me.

Duncan Moore It might. Unfortunately I was looking around for the lanyard attachment this morning and haven’t been able to locate it in order to check for you. You might try to contact them from their website to verify. Link below

how much does it scratch the black oxide?

༺Boy Red༻ [LockSport] If you're a collector, you're not probably going to want to use this sheath. With time, it IS going to wear on the tool. That being said, if you use it every day and treat it like the tool that it is, it's a great option.

I am not a collector, and i like to see wear on my tools, from proper use, not abuse! :)
I was just curious if it just scuffs it up slightly or if it will make it "mirror" withing 3 months.
Thanks a lot for the super quick response, its always nice!
