@Natey11 Yes, but if you saw the games, he got hurt many times within the games, missing several plays to sometimes entire quarters. He always gets dinged up.
You don’t speak for me. I’m a colts fan. He won’t last. The entire team is amazing. He will have one maybe two good years that’s it. Can’t play when he removes himself from games through dumb decisions or “oops I bumped my helmet on the ground coach and celebrated yet I’m hurt coach.” Shitting play dude. Play. I love Steichen. He is being honest and he's fired up about it. That should tell you everything you need to know about what he thinks of AR. That's the most emotional I've seen him. It's going to be a fun season for Colts fans.
Then you should know, his injuries last season, were awkward. Chances of him getting hit they way he did, are less likely. He still needs to play smarter and not let up at the goal line, like he did in game 1 versus Houston. I get the optimism.
I'm a Lions fan who has lived in Indy for the last 13 years and this is the most interested I've ever been in a Colts season. Should be a fun year of football!
I’m a Colts fan, and I’m excited. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I don’t think the national media are giving him enough attention. As far as Richardson staying healthy, we will see. I’ve watched all of the snaps, and I think people make to big of an issue out of the injuries still. He took blame for the concussion against the Texans. He thought he was home free, and he ended up getting decked going into the end zone (for a TD). The season ending shoulder injury I was personally present for. It was just a fluke play. I bet they can run that play 100 times, and he doesn’t get an injury that bad. He just landed wrong. He wasn’t doing anything reckless. Alas, he was 21 years and now 22 (I think) so he will learn when it’s worth it to make a play and when to be a little wiser as a runner. I think people just see the result of the plays without actually considering “was he playing reckless?” I hope I’m right, because the kid has a rocket for an arm.
Apparently Anthony Richardson was the best QB in terms of fantasy points per dropback last year. And that's from a small sample size, true, but also from a sample size of his FIRST FOUR NFL GAMES EVER.
Plenty of quarterbacks have been great fantasy Qbs and never won anything. Fantasy points are not a metric that should be used for quarterback success lol
Crazy how Bryce Young, when everyone thought he was gonna get destroyed because of his size played the full season. While AR, who was considered a physical super human got injured for the season only a few games in.
I super pumped about the season. If Richardson doesn't stay healthy this season he will go down as a 250lb powder puff. But, I think he will stay healthy this year.

I’m so fuckin’ sick of the “if he can stay healthy” nonsense. How many starting QBs go down every single year? How many do you assume are just going to be perpetually injured? STFU with that phrase.
It’s because he runs head first into linebackers and got hurt three times in four weeks until he had a season ending shoulder injury. There’s reason to be cautious.
Unfortunately, he's more than likely going to be a bust. Saw him quite a bit in college, and he always got hurt. Many times, within the same game, missing a few plays and others where he missed several games. For such a big guy, he's very, very fragile. And his accuracy is very poor.
