  • Is a portable oxygen spray capable of saving a person's life if their oxygen levels drop due to COVID-19? "Bare minimum oxygen requirement for patients with breathing problems due to coronavirus is a litre/minute. A portable oxygen canister holds about 12 litres of oxygen. The spray will last for about 10 minutes, it is a useless product," says Dr Jeenam Shah, Consultant Chest Physician and Interventional Pulmonologist, Mumbai.
Watch to know if the portable oxygen cylinders available in the market are a lifesaver or scam in times of COVID19.

    Misleading,
    Completely Disagree with some points,
If 1L. oxygen is used every minute according to him, A 12L. canister will last roughly for 10 mins. and the average time taken by the Ambulance to arrive is around 8-9 mins.
The portable oxygen canister will at least give relief until the ambulance arrives.
It is a good investment to be done in the current situation...

Dear Mr. Doctor arrogant, don't forget that in emergencies every minute every second is crucial, no body is going to a chemist to buy this upon an emergency, it's when one has already purchased for any such emergency. Such a thing supports the person in a emergency like situation like a first aid. I bet you might know a thing or two about paracitamol or disprin.

Pretty one sided argumemt. How about you call for an ambulance (without any influence) and see the struggle. Even if it delivers 5mins of o2, it still cam be life saving. Ground reality is very different from how u explaind, call an ambulance and rush. Hope it was that sorted.

The product is very good for emergency purpose. What is the harm to keep 10 cans with you if the loss of oxygen from improper usage can be protected, this will be life saver. Post COVID also you may require some support. This is at nominal price of one Pizza which is life saving sometimes. And anyone can give you puff. Is not the Asthma Pump a lifesaver?
