Very nice video. I am having one problem during simulation is that when I run the analysis my piston head is getting tilted instead of getting bent.

What if it is connected to a crankshaft, do you simulate the crankshaft separately or do you do the assembly and change the fixtures?

A very good tutorial on the simulation module in SolidWorks.
Have you tried comparing the results from this model with this design configuration imported into ANSYS? How varied were the results?

can you include the links for the piston models?

is the pressure applied bmep or just combustion pressure?

can you set the connecting rod in an angle? Like for example to analyse it when it is 7 degrees off top dead centre

Omiros Christodoulou have you found a solution to this? I’m looking for the answer to the same question

Jay leak. If you do an assembly with the crankshat you can set a degree offset mate with the plane of the crank and the plane of the con rod

Omiros Christodoulou I’m not quite sure what you mean. have you got any videos or images that can help?

@@jayleak_ do you know how to do assemblies? If yes then you must know the "mate" command where you use it to connect 2 parts for example, then use the mate command again and select the plane of the crankshaft and the plane of the connecting rod and there is an option to set an angle between them

Omiros Christodoulou yes I know how to do the assembly, I’m asking for help on the simulation section on how to set up the conrod to test for the factor of safety & then do a design study to minimise weight
