    I’ve watched SO many RUclips videos on Granada (my fav place/visited 11 times!). This is the very best, most informative video on Granada I’ve ever seen. Excellent job. Great camera work as well. And the music did not detract. You were “spot on” with all your recommendations. Just fantastic!

We sat at the samre table as you at 4 Gatos in Albaicin as we're vegan it was really helpful as other places we passed had no vegan options! today is Andalucia Day so it is really really busy as its a public holiday and the sun came out too! I have a question about Alhambra. If you already have a ticket (also for the palace), is there a particular entrance you should go to?

    • @OurTravelPlace
      @OurTravelPlace  2 месяца назад

      If you already have your ticket then there are two main entrances. I'd just go for whichever makes most sense for you, although Puerta de la Justicia is closest to Nasrid Palaces (this is the one we used). I show how to reach the entrances and link them via maps here: ourtravelplace.co.uk/tips-for-visiting-the-alhambra-granada/#3-how-to-get-to-the-alhambra (it's probably better to check the link rather than me trying to explain where the entrances are in this comment!)

    Great video again. We are planning another trip to Spain in November to include two or four nights in Granada. Do you think four nights may be too long? It does look like there’s plenty to see.

    • @OurTravelPlace
      @OurTravelPlace  3 месяца назад

      For us 4 nights isnt too long because we loved Granada and think 3 full days is a good amount of time, but it depends! So if it were me I'd consider a few things:
      Arrival/departure times (because 2 nights could be almost 3 days, or just 1 day, depending on when you travel, if you get me).
      How many of the things we showed (or that other guides have shown) actually appeal to you.
      How slow you like to take things.
      If Granada part of a bigger Spain itinerary, would longer mean skipping anything else you would really like to do?
      Is there anywhere you would like to visit that works as a day or half day trip from Granada if it turns out you feel like 4 is too long?

      @@OurTravelPlace We are planning on having 2 nights in Malaga so we can do the Caminito Del Ray and then finishing our 6 night trip in Granada which will be 3 full days and 2 half days as we will arrive by train around noon and also leave at noon. We’ve been to Cordoba, Seville and Malaga before so can’t think of any other places to go. I suppose November will have shorter days so I think we’ll have plenty to do. I have heard there is a lot of live music bars in Granada so will probably spend more time having tapas and watching some music/flamenco shows., or even go on a hiking trip into the mountains. Thanks for the advice, we can’t wait to go 🇪🇸

    Nasrid palaces booking has to be done way in advance or through tourism guide agency

    • @OurTravelPlace
      @OurTravelPlace  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, we bought ours almost two months in advance. There was still a lot of availability at this point but it's not worth risking missing out!

    Hi, I love this video but have a small question. If its our first time and we want to visit Alcazaba, Generalife, Nasrid Palaces what package should we purchase on the site? the ALHAMBRA GENERAL one? or the Dobla de Oro General? or BOTH? thank you so much!

    • @OurTravelPlace
      @OurTravelPlace  22 дня назад +1

      Either of those (but not both). The difference is the Dobla de Oro General also includes entry to a few (very small!) monuments as well as the Alcazaba, Generalife, Nasrid Palaces. So it depends on if you want to visit them too (although if you buy the ALHAMBRA GENERAL ticket and decide you want to visit the small monuments later, then you can still buy a separate pass for them while you're there). Hope that helps!

      @@OurTravelPlace Hi you are the very best. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I had to buy the "JARDINES, GENERALIFE Y ALCAZABA" because all the other options were BOOKED! they book fast and this was my only option :( ... I hope once inside I can get into more of the monuments and important areas. Praying it's possible to do that.

      @@MONICAROSAS08 The Nasrid palaces do sell out a while in advance. There's always the option of checking third-party sellers / tours for availability or the night visit ticket. If you aren't able to visit the Nasrid Palaces though then the rest of the Alhambra is still beautiful.

    Please when doing a video about Spain (or any country, really) please learn to pronounce names and places correctly!! The Alhambra is pronounces without the expiration on the H the letter H is silent in Spanish. It is extremely annoying to hear someone supposedly giving information about one of Spains most important monuments mispronouncing its name. Learn then video!! Alhambra is pronounced “Alambra “ phonetically.

    • @OurTravelPlace
      @OurTravelPlace  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the correction, good to know about h's. I do try and learn pronunciations but as I don't speak the language I will still accidentally get things wrong. Totally understand that it can be annoying though, especially for the Alhambra! I'd heard it pronounced with the H and didn't know this was wrong.

      Imagine how cringy must be to an english speaker the way spaniards pronounce their places names. Alhambra in english is prounced Al-ham-bra with an aspired h, coincidentally just as the arabs do, and that's an arabic name. Besides she pronounce very well the spanish names as Plaza Nueva or Sacromonte. Really can't understand why that upsets you that much.
