I got mine yesterday. Their is no palm rejection at the borders unlike Ipad. The keyboard is very good as well as battery life (as good or better than my Ipad Pro). My USB C expansion ports work well and 2nd gen Echo buds sound exceprtional paired to the duet 5. It is light and thin and feels well built. I think file manager is not integrated well, it may be me. I bought this to display sheet music and would have liked a diffent screen ratio. I think it is well worth the money.
Firstly, thank you for being the first to upload the video. I'm just here to see performance of the device, specially how it stacks up with Gsuite, various CRM/Airtable, bubble/Wix, Vs code. Can you test those out?
I follow this product line. I preordered the original duet and got it about June. I preordered the stylus and got it about August. I have no problem going to a 5 without a stylus. I have one.
Still very interested in this thing. It weighs about the same as my old Samsung Chromebook Pro that I've been rocking for a couple years now lol. I knew it didn't come with a USI stylus, but, I'm ok with that honestly. I very rarely use the stylus in my Samsung, but, I would probably still pick one up at some point. Thanks for the video, I've been looking forward to this device for some time now. Haven't watched your "24 hours with" video yet, so I'll check it out next!
I had mine for like 2h, then the screen turned off and it doesn't power on anymore. Will need to have it replaced. I'm quite impressed so far gotta say....
can't wait for the Asus Slate 13 Oled, probably going to be the same Oled panel as this but with a little bit more powerful Intel n6005 processor which is slightly better than the Snapdragon 7c
Hay there great video I just ordered mine from Best buy it will be delivered tomorrow did you keep your it didn't seem like you liked it too much I'm going to mine manly for watching movies and web browsing.
Is it true that it runs a 32-bit chrome os version not the 64? I've been reading that th 32-bit chrome os only lets you use 4GB of ram; therefore, the other 4 would be useless. Would you be able to confirm that?
Mine didn't come with a stylus either.. any idea what to buy?? And for gaming u can just set it up with the kickstand and use a Bluetooth controller. Duet works amazing with cloud gaming like Google stadia and GFN I had the original duet. And I f***** loved it! Till I cracked the screen by accident
Saw your comment over at cnet i think. This guy has another vid from 4 days ago and mentions the lack of pen. He says at $500, no pen though. If you notice in this vid thete is a cutout in cover for it. I'd like an answer to this as well. How much did u pay? At where? What are your first impressions?
@@TW--- well as I stated in the original comment. I had the 10.1 inch Lenovo duet, the first one. And loved it. It was perfect. So this one is just a slight upgrade from the 1st one . Brighter and larger screen. Larger keyboard (still no backlight). No pen. Idk why. I do have a Lenovo stylus but it's too big for the slot. So idk what pen I'm suppose to even use for that area.. It has chrome OS (I'm sure u know this already). In terms of gaming, I'm a cloud gamer. So I use Google stadia, GeForce NOW, Xcloud etc. And all streaming services run amazing! Paired with a Bluetooth controller it's like having a portable game console 😁 In all honestly it's the same thing as the original, just slightly powerful and bigger. Paid around $500. But $500 for a tablet that comes with a keyboard and kickstand cover still a better price than a $500 iPad that comes with no accessories
@@seanptaco Wow, seems like this gen 2 is WAAAY better. Surprised to hear you say only slightly better. Better processor, memory, screen (you mentioned), keyboard, speakers, etc. Funny how you mentioned to use BT controller for gaming. I thought the same thing!! Who's using a 13.3" screen using touch controls? Physical controller better in every way. Portable gaming device it's perfect. So for $500 what's ram/ssd size? You got at Lenovo website or saw it at BB? This seems like an amazing machine!
@@seanptaco Do YOU think the 13.3" & 16:9 aspect ratio is weird to use in portrait (tablet) mode? Since you had 10.1" before. I'm worried about this now.
@@TW--- I believe mine is 128gb and 8GB ram. And I got it on best buy. Came in 3 days. It fixes alot of issues the original version had. And even then, they weren't "issues" more like minor gripes but for the price u pay, both versions are amazing products
I unboxed this went to pick it up out of the box and cracked the screen. Talk about absolute garbage. I was so excoted to use it and barely touched it and it cracked. Had to drive 30 miles to return it. My ipad pro 12.9 inch was built better then this trash

How would you compare it to the original?
i just bought this last week. love it.

Yeah I would like to see those kind of tests
Have been waiting for an unboxing since last week. Gd job bro 👍🏻
Thanks for this video . It confirmed to keep my duet 2020 . I will get the ipad 9 with logic tech keyboard.
Thank you for the information on ideapad duet5. After all AMOLED is wonderful😀

I have the original Duet and my only issue with it is the speaker volume. If the Duet 5 volume is significantly better then I’m upgrading to it.
I can't stand the volume on the original, but I'm upgrading regardless because of the screen size and the extra port.
Im getting mine Sunday im excited getting it
thanks for your sharing, i can only see 13.3" screen is worth excite.
Hi new to the chanel and I'm going to buy that tablet

Awesome review bigger better screen with the tablet option. I have the OG hp chromebook X2 looking for something similar.
I had mine for like 2h, then the screen turned off and it doesn't power on anymore. Will need to have it replaced. I'm quite impressed so far gotta say....
Thanks! Can you use a mouse on this in tablet mode?
Great video. My only thing is that tablet mode is usually in portrait position, not landscape.
That was one of my points. I think the aspect ratio makes it too difficult to use in portrait mode.
With this aspect ratio I think we'll know about expects more people to use it in landscape mode.

Interesting. First I have heard of it
Idk why Lenovo went for a 16:9 aspect ratio for this device instead of a 3:2 that is also found in the HP Chromebook X2 11.
Does the keyboard still flop around and not connect magnetically? I love the original duet but that's making me $@@ing crazy.
Correct. Still no magnetic click
They should create 2 versions like the Samsung tab s7 and s7 plus, size wise.
Agreed
WOW 🔥 love it 💯

MAKE IT A 429 MUCH MORE FARE BECAUSE OF THE OLED SCREEN GREAT FOR ENTERTEINMET

They should put a snapdragon 870 in here.
Yes idk why they don't , or some sd 777 . Something better than the sd 7c 2nd gen . I haven't heard anything good about this chip set .
I just had a look at one and was disappointed at the video quality when playing RUclips videos. It was no better than my cheap Chinese Android tablet.
You can tell how well a device is by looking at if they have "Open Boxes" for sale. And Best Buy has an Open Box for $463.99...just saying..Lol
That tells you absolutely nothing, everyone buys and returns stuff.
