I've done Amazon flex twice when it paid 30 plus an hour. Now it's like 15 a hour and after your expenses, forget about it. You're left with pennies 😢

i like being a 1099 for amazon. I get all the deductions for my taxes. The govt gets virtually nothing because all the deductions. They are trying to make us employees and take their 30%. At that point, I will quit.
I could have been a whistleblower with the things I learned working remotely for Amazon Logistics driver support. We were told to "clock drivers in without telling them." I could clock them in with my mouse if they were running late.

I have to say I totally disagree with your view about this subject..I can go into this very deep but I'm not a big on explaining this but I will try ...so here we go..First off Amazon is not dealing dirty, what they are doing is a good thing it's a game changer like they have always done..Those drivers are 100% contractors no employees..They are useing there own personal vehicles to do a job and make money. That is a problem with the government.. what they want is for them to go buy a 80,000 truck before they make their first dollar that way big corporations get their money off the top and you get debt (slave) .I never worked for Amazon but I do have a trucking and transportation background 32yrs and counting..This situation is a fight with government officials you just don't see it yet .its all about taxes and keeping slaves to the labor force and big companies still need slaves to show up to work everyday..with flex you work when you want that's a level of freedom. That's the problem!! Walmart,Coke Cola Target Ups, McDonald's and alot more are looking at this and pushing to stop this before it turns into a snowball effect..it will cost them workers and money..its easy to see if just look at it...I can go on and on but I will stop here. I hope I explained it well.

I do Flex when I get a good offer. I used to take all types of offers until a "gig friend" got on me about taking a low paying offer for a long route. Now I'm more selective. With that being said, Flex will offer low paying routes. I mean deplorable. When you factor in fuel and time, you're not really making a profit. But, they put the offers out there to see if anyone will take it, and many do, like I used to. I'm in Indiana, so I don't know what WI is saying about IC status with Flex. But as someone mentioned, the state is probably just trying to keep their revenue streaming, and the gig economy is adversely affecting it.

Started flex a month ago, I’m done! $107 for 3.5 hour block pick up is 30 min the last route they sent me was 48 min away and it stops were 7-10 min away STEEP uphills and curves. I almost died on one road. I took half the packages back to warehouse 42 min drive and half hour back to home. I basically delivered for free that day and almost lost my life with those crazy rural towns they send you to🤬

What kind of sign up paperwork did they have the deliverers sign? Not that that is evidence enough to decide because the de facto use of these deliverers is what usually matters in most states and courts. I’m just wondering. I was used this way once in a very obvious abuse of the contractor concept. My cpa was furious and he was generally a mild mannered guy.

I actually applied for them got accepted 3 months ago took the stupid drug test n test was fine but I happened to call up Amazon n they had me in there system as a driver n I never even got the call to start training smdh 😂😂
