Howdy Mike! To the best of our knowledge, Gene Autry performed this song "If You Want to Be a Cowboy" only once, in the movie "Git Along Little Dogies" (1937). He did not record it for a record or on his radio or television program.
You can find the movie "Git Along Little Dogies" on the "Gene Autry Collection 9" DVD set along with three other Gene Autry movies.
