Excellent product, I got the folder from Oshkosh 2021 and I'm very excited with this option for my under building airplane, I have some questions, 1- Can the servos be connected with the original trim tabs from the airplane? I think yes, but I'm not sure. 2- Without using autopilot can I operate the trim manually? 3- Is there some way to lock an iPad only for this application? 4- How to get engine information, what is the compatible devices? Thanks.
1. Yes, they can, but we don't recommend it. 2. You can use an off-the-shelf PWM driver for 5V servos directly to drive your trim-tabs. 3. You can't lock your iPad. 4. You can get engine information by using the EIS from Grand Rapids with the iLevil.
Love the idea. Will you be at and have this at AirVenture 2022? Starting to build a Bearhawk Model 5 quick build kit and adding this to the “idea list” to check out.
With SO many Experimentals having already gone to Garmin's G3X system or similar Dynon or GRT systems with their integrated APs, you may have missed your window on this. Particularly so since these other companies APs are used in IMC and you recommend not doing so with yours.
Our iLevil AP is compatible with already existing avionics such as the Garmin and GRT. The Trim tab /iLevil AP is a safer and lightweight alternative to traditional heavy servos that connect to your main controls. It is the easiest and sometimes more affordable way for pilots that already have avionics to incorporate an AP. There is always room for improvement and innovation when it comes to technology 👍
Nice product. Will the iLevil AP directly connect and interact with both GR EIS 4000 engine monitor and vertical power VPX so I can view my engine data and switches on the iPads?
Hello John. The iLevil AP offers everything as our iLevil 3 AW plus autopilot. We would recommend to upgrade from your AW to the AP if you have a light-sport or experimental aircraft and would like an affordable autopilot solution.
The iLevil AP will replace the Sentry. You may use the iLevil with ForeFlight, although the only feature that will not be available is having the autopilot follow a navigation flight plan from ForeFlight. This feature is only available with iFlyGPS at the moment.
@@garyhardison1275 no, ForeFlight is not planning to have AP navigation. If they are ever open to the possibility, we would be more than happy to integrate the iLevil AP with their app. In the meantime, you can only use the AP feature with iFly GPS.
No, the iPad is only used as a control interface. You can send a command (i.e. set a heading) and disconnect your iPad and the iLevil AP will continue to follow the last heading.

@@levilaviation In my opinion iFly GPS is the best EFB value out there :-)

Hi, very nice. I have the GRT4000 /ilevil AW2. Does this replace the aw2 or does this run alongside it? Thanks
Hello John. The iLevil AP offers everything as our iLevil 3 AW plus autopilot.
We would recommend to upgrade from your AW to the AP if you have a light-sport or experimental aircraft and would like an affordable autopilot solution.
Does the Levil AP have all the features of the Levil AW?? Engine monitoring and AOA or do you still have to buy the Levil AW to get those features??
The iLevil AP has all of the features of the iLevil AW plus the autopilot capability.
Excellent product , your equipment line up is quite innovative
Thanks for the kind words! We're bringing innovation to the aviation industry.
Awesome! What is the device in front of the pilot on the panel? It looks larger than an iPad.
It's is a PC based iLevil powered EFIS for R&D. It's not for sale at the moment.
SO to confirm does NOT work with foreflight/Sentry Plus?
The iLevil AP will replace the Sentry. You may use the iLevil with ForeFlight, although the only feature that will not be available is having the autopilot follow a navigation flight plan from ForeFlight. This feature is only available with iFlyGPS at the moment.

Does level AW system have to have data connectivity to run the instrumentation through the IPAD at all times
