    Lithuania has taken steps to preserve its own sovereignty in light of Chinese influence at great diplomatic cost. China is not happy with the way Lithuania has slapped its hand on a few affairs. Lithuania is fairly clear eyed on its outlook. It cannot afford to not be.

      Lithuania is getting lots of aids from Taiwan. Its role in EU is to prolong the Ukrainian conflict for as long as possible. Btw, both Taiwan and Lithuania are US puppets.

      @thenegociater3387 Год назад +18

      @scpython1 You could be right, but I think it is very clear his target audience is the EU and not the world. What you say about much of the world not taking a side is very true, and is a wise decision. However, by not taking a side, these truly neutral countries fall outside of the intended audience of countries like Lithuania that are looking for strong security partners. To countries like Lithuania, these countries do not act, they do not support, and they do not oppose. They are ghosts on this issue.

    • @thenegociater3387
      @thenegociater3387 Год назад +11

      @scpython1You state very equivocal truths, but every issue is independent, this issue for example involves the security of states bordering Russia. It makes a lot of sense to offer his opinion as a state leader under similar circumstances as Ukraine. He is not writing NATO policy by any means. He gains legitimacy through proximity to the issue rather than by past involvement. Lithuania has also sent many weapons to Ukraine so its stance is based in its stake on the conflict.

      One thing China does think ahead is to show the world that peace is possible, it DOSE want to expose those who instigate and use proxy wars to destabilize a region, because China believes there are countries who have been planning on instigating a proxy war in the near future in Taiwan (to provoke mainland Chinese and Taiwan Chinese kill each other while a third party far away sits back watching and enjoying the show) to weaken China. China doesn’t want Taiwan eventually being used as a geopolitical chess board like Ukraine was. To protect Taiwan from that devastation, China needs to dismantle the schemer’s plans globally, that includes bring peace in Middle East and in Europe. That’s China’s “selfish” goal, if that what you meant by China is thinking for itself.

      What do you mean? It will show that nations wont stand by while a dictator like Putin chases his imperialistic ambitions to expand his borders through a genocidal war.
      In part, this war happened in the first place due to the weak response of certain nations in Europe over Crimea. Not to mention the more cynical side of this. Why would local nations stop supporting Ukraine who is knocking the teeth out of a aggressive neighbor like Russia? The same nation who has made clear on a regular basis since the start of the war that other former USSR territory is fair game. These nations aren't losing soldiers, or having their countries destroyed by helping either(apart from the ones willing to go fight in the foreign battalion). Losing money is a small sacrifice to make, not only to help another nation survive, but also to help beat back a aggressor like Russia (Or at least damage them so badly they have zero chance of extending further for decades).
      In the end you just need to look how the Russian military behaves on the battlefield to know supporting Ukraine is well worth the money. I would prefer to not fight a enemy in the future that has that little skill in warfare they need to level everything to the ground in order to seize it.
      The west understands now, there is no way to appease people like Putin. A lesson that should of been learnt in WW2.

In reality it was a child's opinion on sovereignty, that pathetically attempted to walk a tight rope between the west and Russia, while achieving nothing.
