I'm just learning to use sunvox myself and I'm curious about your setup. Are you using all the modules we see here? Or is this a template you've made with a range of instruments you like to use? I can see the benefit in just having a bunch of different sounds on hand even if you don't end up needing them. Fucking banger btw

Thank you! Sometimes I leave unused instruments in the project file, but every module was used in this song, if I remember correctly. While I have a template for the module structure, it doesn't include instruments. Most of the instruments in my songs are created either on the fly while composing a song, or in projects dedicated to sound design :)

I love all of your music! Do you have any advice about the types of music theory that go into your music?

Thank you! As a self-taught musician, if I were to give advice on the music theory I use, it would be something like this:
- Learn how various chords such as 7b5, M7b5, m7b5, mM7b5, aug, and fraction chords sound.
- Keep in mind which notes can or cannot be added to a chord as tension notes.
- Consider how chords sound by breaking them down into notes. Think about how the sound would change if a note was a semitone higher, a semitone lower, or if a note was removed.
- Especially in sections where you want to make a big development, such as modulation, build chords from the melody. I think creating chord progressions to match a natural melody will make it sound natural.
- When learning music theory, relate it to music that actually uses it.
- Don’t get too caught up in to-do lists like this one; enjoy music by taking detours!
