  • Fully Custom exhaust system done by Rob Bliss Exhausts (they're a great shop, highly recommend them!). The system retains the stock headers and cat and incorporates an aftermarket resonator with no muffler. The system gives a few nice pops and backfires on deceleration which is always a bonus :)

    Anypower loss with this setup ? Also what do the boys in blue think about it ? My friend didn't any attention until he decided to make his car sing a little louder.

    Sounds nice bro! I like how it backfired while revving it in the beginning if the video. I didn't know a Miata can do that stock.

    Hey man, I know this video is old, but I saw that you bought the car back and still own it. If it's not too much hassle, please could you measure the size of that resonator? I'm about to make a custom catback for my NB and want to replicate yours exactly. These cars always have an ear piercing rasp, but your exact setup somehow retains the volume without that nasty rasp and I'd love to recreate it.
    Thanks

    This sounds incredible. How much did it cost for parts and labor?
    If I went to an exhaust shop could I tell them to do what you listed on your previous comment, and it would be fairly easy for them to follow and get right?

      +BillBuckChevrolet Yeah man, tell them that word for word and they should easily be able to get together a very similar system for you. I paid close to $700 for this but i'm in Australia and stuff here costs way more than other countries would pay for it, goodluck man!

    Straight piping mine this weekend with just muffler delete and stock headers / resonator (I'm from Perth) shop quoted me 100 bucks which is pretty neat hopefully sounds just as good as yours bro.

    what resonator are you using?

    • @AngusOutram
      @AngusOutram  8 лет назад +1

      I believe it's a 4 or 5 inch magnaflow hotdog resonator, hope this helps

    Hey mate what's the exact set up you've got on this? Sounds amazing

    • @AngusOutram
      @AngusOutram  8 лет назад +3

      +Oliver Ferrari Hey man, so it's using the stock headers and cat's, I replaced the midpipe with 2.25" mild steel (due to I didn't want to risk it being too raspy) and it uses a 4 or 5 inch hotdog resonator, after the resonator I have a 3" stainless steel tip and no muffler, I hope this helps you out man!

      +David Tafoya It's never really bothered me to be honest, it's a loud car so you're always going to hear it, 4 months later and i've still got it on the car so it can't be that bad!
