This is such a good video! I had the 17mm f1.8 and ended up selling it because of the glitchy manual focus. I moved through some other lenses and now have the 15mm. It’s not bad. Manual focus is pretty predictable.
Always gives me a feeling of emptiness when I'm watching and enjoying a good video and then go to check out the channel only to see that the last upload was 2 years ago... Hope all is well.
Dude.... I love the style of your videos. If you put out content more often I'm sure you'd get a ton of subscribers. I know it prolly takes hella long to make one of these vids, tho.
This was a lot fun to watch! So refreshing compared to regular reviews. Thanks for pointing out the stuttering issue when pulling focus in video. Your dog's really cute.
This was so hilarious and informative. Got myself the Olympus a couple days ago and couldn't find a decent review. Boom Falucho got me covered. Subscribed and wanting more...
I found your channel like 6 months ago. I completely forgot the name and had been searching for it since. I was in the market for a wide prime and found the 17mm 1.8 as a good candidate. And it lead me back to you bb
The best video I have ever seen! Thanks! It's crazy funny! I have a lot of troubles of this lens. I hope I will find the answer why the colour of all my videos is always changing during process. I spent 4 days testing different options but still in the same situation.
Hey man, just wanted to say that I found your channel today when looking for reviews on this lens and ended up binge watching all your videos LOL. You just gained a new subscriber. Please keep it up, you have great comedic sense and your filmmaking in general is really pleasant. That "atmospheric" grading and retro style of editing are amazing. As someone who just got into filmmaking as a hobby, this is weirdly inspirational (grass might be greener on the other side, but maybe getting an engineering degree and grinding the corporate life might not have been the best idea :/ ) Anyway, thanks for putting this out and please keep making these!
How amazing would it be if Panasonic released a firmware update that lets you choose the gain of your focus ring? With the kit lens being focus by wire, I'd love to be able to focus from macro to infinity with like a quarter of a turn if I so choose
Hi! It's a coolest review I've ever seen. But I'm sorry for asking. I'm bit confuse to choose between Panasonic Leica 15mm f1.7 vs Olympus 17mm f1.8? maybe you can make a comparrison review or please give me an advice. thankyou!
Man, its amazing! Great style of Storytelling! ☺ And, veeery useful specs and facts about the lens. Thanks) That s more interesting vs traditional talking head video about photo gear ) Wish u hundreds thousands of subscribers)) 😉
Man, where you been? Your creativity is needed to make the world go round. What an exceptional video (again)! Hope you're doing well! Pee pee poo poo nice to meet you, lol!
So good. Please make more videos! I watched all of your videos 4-5 months ago when I was first deciding which lens setup to get for my recently purchased G85. Having watched tons of product reviews and tutorials... your are BY FAR the most entertaining while also being very informative. I did eventually choose this Olympus 17mm f1.8. I am using it mostly for talking head (of myself) and for videos of me playing trumpet. The setup works very well for me. Thank you!
Very appreciate the way you present the lens and i absolutely love your humor👍 Can you tell the name of the bgm starting from 6:30 ? It is so pleasing and relaxing.
Good review. Trying to decide on the three lenses myself. Sounds like the sigma 16mm is alot bigger then the Olympus 17. Did you use auto focus for this video ?
Looks like you haven't posted in over a year but just want to say thanks to your input I've decided to go for the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 and 30mm f/1.4. Subbed and turned on the notifications in case you come back because these are so much more than just reviews!
Good to see you back. how do you make your videos, the seem like they take so long and are so hard to make with the song changes zoom ins. Great video 👍
Really good video and édition bro ! From a Moroccan - Spanish boy living in Brussels Thanks for the information, I was beetwen de 25mm from lumix and this one, And finally I Will go for this one !
Dude how do you only have 500 subscribers?? Love these reviews, man. Thorough and informative, but also ~actually~ entertaining, not like other reviewers on youtube who try to be entertaining but I'm just like shut up and get to the point. Keep up the good work!
because im a broke millennial who doesnt wanna buy another filter (also i use vnd or polarizer filters, both would be impractical if its behind the filter)
Great vid! Your channel will blow up! Not literally lol, but yeah keep it up! For the 17mm lens what size hood lens do I buy on Amazon? Just a few options on there.. cheers
Great video! Quality is fresh. I also have a G85 and the Panasonic 25mm f1.7, 12-35mm f2.8, and Canon FD 50mm f1.4 with adapter for portraits. I use these for photos and videos. I saw a good deal on the Panasonic 15mm also, but that's a little too wide for my use cases. Been looking for something a little wider than the 25mm and this lens looks decent. Found one like new for $269.
Very nice video and very pleasant to watch. Thank you. I have a Pana G9 and I hesitate between the olympus 17mm et pana 15mm. Your video helps me a lot. Xavier. France. Vendée
Great video! I'm currently trying to decide between buying the Olympus 17mm or the Laowa 17mm. So a Laowa review/comparison in the future would be awesome! (Plus I think you'd be the first to do it as I haven't seen a video comparing these 2 similar lenses anywhere)
Question regarding the lens hood: the lens cap the lens hood comes with seems to cover the much wider opening. I was just wondering if the original lens cap can still fit when your suggested lens hood is attached? The reason I'm asking is I'd prefer to keep using the original lens cap so I can reverse the lens hood for more efficient storage when not in use. I hope that made sense.
If you leave the manual focus clutch engaged and power the G85 off and on, does the focus stay where you set it? I use the Panasonic 25mm as a stationary webcam sometime and the focus resets when I turn it off and on.
Falucho where the f**k are you! need more videos man, my pandemic is more easy with em... also you sold the G85 to me, great results on both departments stills and video! Hope ur doing good my man :)
This is such a good video! I had the 17mm f1.8 and ended up selling it because of the glitchy manual focus. I moved through some other lenses and now have the 15mm. It’s not bad. Manual focus is pretty predictable.
Hi! Wich is the problem with the manual focus of this lens?
@@pabloitare It's not linear so it's useless for filmmaker. Try keep in focus moving object and you will fail:)
This is one of the most underrated videos I have ever seen.
Always gives me a feeling of emptiness when I'm watching and enjoying a good video and then go to check out the channel only to see that the last upload was 2 years ago... Hope all is well.

Way more entertaining than I had expected. Found your vid from the reddit m43 sub
This was way greater than I expected! Keep em comin'
great video.. may i ask,, what the best for video bro ? sigma 16mm 1.4 or this lens ?
This was so hilarious and informative. Got myself the Olympus a couple days ago and couldn't find a decent review. Boom Falucho got me covered. Subscribed and wanting more...

@@asstheticpictures thanks my guy and nice I always see film school kids shooting fight scenes in warehouses. good spots for sure
Stumbled here while randomly searching for 4/3 lenses and fund the best review ever.
Thanks RUclips Algo.
This has to be by far, the best lens review ever.
Great review still watching in 2023
where you been dude???
I never have a plan to get this lens but finally bought it after watching this review.
Was not expecting the Ridge Racer music. Awesome review.
The best video I have ever seen! Thanks! It's crazy funny! I have a lot of troubles of this lens. I hope I will find the answer why the colour of all my videos is always changing during process. I spent 4 days testing different options but still in the same situation.
Dope video man, rare to find gems like these on youtube
Awesome review. So you wouldn't recommend the Oly 17mm for hybrid shooters?

Stumpled upon your video by accident, and man, this videos cracks me up lol.
Amazing video! Where have you been all those years? Making me watch boring photography channels...
Comedy gold lmaooo
nao I was hoping someone in the comments would be like oh you can fix that manual focus stutter by doing so and so
This video has such pristine energy. Great work!
How amazing would it be if Panasonic released a firmware update that lets you choose the gain of your focus ring? With the kit lens being focus by wire, I'd love to be able to focus from macro to infinity with like a quarter of a turn if I so choose
Que buen canal! espero vuelvas a subir videos :C
Make more videos, bro. Your videos always remind me what the G85 is capable of.
Olympus 17mm f1.8 vs Panasonic leica 15mm F.17
What it better in autofocus ?

Awesome cool video. Fanks!

Definitely my favorite of the olympus 1.8's
Hello, I have a question, if I use that lens on my Lumix camera, can I use the manual and automatic focus as if I were using any Lumix lens?
hey dude you know what i wanna give you all my gears cause i think you are more qualified to have them than me
