Dingo is one of my favorite. Check out songs called 'Levoton Tuhkimo', 'Autiotalo', 'Nahkatakkinen tyttö' and 'Sinä ja minä'. Those are the most popular ones.
6:20 Finlands entry for Eurovision Song Contest in 1987 Vicky Rosti ”Sata Salamaa”. 10:31 The winner of ESC 2006 Lordi ❤ 12:15 Finlands entry to ESC in 2015 Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät ”Aina mun Pitää”
One of the most influential pioneers would be Jussi Raittinen, who just recently passed on. He was a cultural figure, who worked to better rights of musicians, and performed also Country music, which is trending now: "Jussi Raittinen - Nashville - Tennessee (1976)". Danny brought a stage show to Finland, and was influential on the business side of music: "Armi Ja Danny - Laserajassa 1978 (FINNISH TV SPECIAL)". Wigwam was one of the first Finnish bands, which got noted abroad: "Wigwam - Grass for Blades". Antti "Irwin Goodman" Hammarberg and Vexi Salmi created this popular provocative Bob Dylan type character: "Irwin Goodman - Ei tippa tapa". Dave Lindholm was one the first names of Finnrock; Rock sang in Finnish about Finnish things: "Isokynä Lindholm - Jazzikansa tulee". Hurriganes' first album was the best selling Finnish album in Finland for ten years. They also got noted abroad: "Hurriganes - Get On". Hector took the Finnish Rock lyrics to another level: "Hector - Lumi teki enkelin eteiseen". Juice further rooted Finnrock, and he's regarded as one the best lyricists and an intellectual of Finnrock: "Juice Leskinen - Jyrki boy". Rauli Badding Somerjoki left a mark with his voice and tragic life: "Rauli Badding Somerjoki - Paratiisi". Sleepy Sleepers later became Leningrad Cowboys: "Leningrad Cowboys & The Red Army Choir - Gimme all your lovin'". Maarit was one of the first modern era female popstars: "Maarit - Jäätelökesä". Eppu Normaali is the all time best selling FInnrock band: "Eppu Normaali - Kitara, taivas ja tähdet live". The Zen Circus has covered one of their early (Punk) songs: "The Zen Circus - Poliisi Pamputtaa Taas (Eppu Normaali Cover)". Hanoi Rocks is most likely the most influential Finnish band abroad: "Hanoi Rocks - Don't You Ever Leave Me (Music Video)". J Karjalainen is one of the Finnrock icons: "J. Couple of influential Metal bands not covered on the video: "Stone - The Day of Death", "Children Of Bodom - In Your Face" and "TURISAS - Battle Metal",
This list has such a great collection of songs, I wish someone would make a playlist of all these songs ❤ To keep it simple, the two songs from this list I recommmend reacting to first are Hanoi Rocks - Tragedy and Hurriganes - Get on. Hanoi Rocks was massively popular world wide, especially in Asia, back in the day, and the lead singer Micheal Monroe is still one of the ultimate Finnish rock icons. Hanoi rocks was the band that directly inspired Guns 'n Roses
Yeah, Get On was born because it was originally supposed to be just a filler, as the number of tracks recorded at that stage was deemed insufficient to fill a complete album. According to Remu Aaltonen, both the music and the words were the result of improvisation. Remu said Cisse Häkkinen that play beginning Chuck Berry-Johnny B. Goode and after that Remu started throwing words. That's why they make almost no sense.
all sound same use same chords. propably famous 4 chord songs LOL. bcoz. there is only 6 full step on octave. yes F is actually E# and B is actrually A# by real voice. now make song xD
Try also Children of Bodom, Apocalyptica and if you like doom at all, give a go to Dark Buddha Rising. YUP from Finnish language classics were also missing.
I thought that the dude on the left is Ismo Leikola, a Finnish comedian who won best comedian of the world title in competition held in USA. He is not, but check Ismo Leikola out.
You have to react to an amazing Finish band with beautiful melodies and vocals, too many amazing songs to list but maybe start with *Amorphis - On The Dark Waters* believe me you wont be disappointed, this band is a Legend. New subscriber ☺️ love from Canada 🇨🇦
You definitely should check Marilyn, Ake, Make, Pera, ja Mä, Likaiset Legendat, Levoton Tuhkimo, Pohjois-Karjala, Marraskuu, 1972, and Mökkitie, those are from some of my favorite artists.
The early part of the viceo has a few songs you *definitely* need to listen in full like "Ake, Make, Pera ja mä" by Hector, "Ajetaan Tandemilla" by Freeman, Get On " by Hurriganes, and "Sinä lähdit pois" by Ultra bra!! :) And of course, also "Moottoritie on kuuma" by Pelle Miljoona, legendary.
Aki Sirkesalo (1995 in the video) died in 2004 tsunami in Thailand with his whole family :(
And he was such a nice gentleman also. So sad..
He was a great singer and performer.
It was his time to leave. If you believe that god bullshit.
3 out 5 for me.
Dingo is one of my favorite. Check out songs called 'Levoton Tuhkimo', 'Autiotalo', 'Nahkatakkinen tyttö' and 'Sinä ja minä'. Those are the most popular ones.

You definitely need to check out Poets of the Fall's song Carnival of Rust.

I think you should try "Olen suomalainen". You might recognize the melody of it :)
Or "Kuusamo" 🙂 - a lot of Italian songs have had Finnish versions over decades
@@samulilahnamaki3127 That too? I didn't know that. Thanks for the info :)
React to HIM - Join Me please!
That's the only song from them that isn't copyrighted because it's a cover lol.
@@mnjk1558 Join me (in death) is all-original HIM song, written by Ville Valo
Try also Children of Bodom, Apocalyptica and if you like doom at all, give a go to Dark Buddha Rising. YUP from Finnish language classics were also missing.
Italian rock band called Zen Circus made a cover of the 1978's song "Poliisi pamputtaa taas" and they sing it in finnish too

Nais -paholainen: female devil (from paha = bad)
My name is... Yourname
Its missing metal!
Especially some of the early ones were translations. E.g. there were a couple of Beatles songs...
👏😊👏
Naispaholainen means "female devil" in finnish What is it in spanish?
mother in law? ;)
I'd translate "She-devil".
First lines go: "I gave my pinkie finger, she too the whole arm. I began playing with fire, I did it in secret..."
