    Second video watched. As others have said, no hype, no funny gimmicky stuff. Calm, clear instructions, this making it easy to learn. Subbed.
    Thank you!

    Very thorough explanation, wish I had watched this before installing myRog Strix E Gaming and Ryzen 9 3900x. I had these very issues -no monitor-no bios- had to call asus and get the new bios but it still did not work. I eventually figured out how to unzip the file and rename it as per the Asus instructions- the bios loaded- whoopee. now I'm still trying to fix the display not showing so have ordered a new board. I tried different RAM memory sticks, monitors-hdmi-display port but still no display

    Great tip I will try this prior to the build, trying a new build after 12 years of my old pc :)

    Great instructional video! I like the simple, straightforward approach you demonstrated.
    I noticed that you didn't put any cooling grease on the CPU. Does that mean that it came already coated? Same question for the cooling fan.
    Thanks. You got a sub!

    Hi, I am amazed that, in this day and age, we have no diagnostric tools for motherboards and processors. You would think they would have a device where you can place your processor in and and it can just do a test to say that it's working or not. The same applies to the motherboard. Being able to ioslate the testing is a better way to diagnose a problem don't you think?

      Amazon has a PCIE card for $10 that claims to test mobos. I have never used one and there are no reviews, but if you do some searching, you are likely to find others.

    I do not bench test.. The two times I had the board somehow found its way to the floor. First time a wire pulled the board to the floor the second time when I swung my chair around the seat back knocked it to the floor. And both times the board survived, a bench drop test.
    Nope, mount the board connect only what it is necessary and test. If good continue connecting if bad troubleshoot. 9 Screws is not a big ordeal.

    If you are looking for a home for that R3 I know someone lol What camera are you using? The audio on it is phenomenal.

      I'm using a OnePlus 6T running Open Camera and a Boya shotgun mic.
      Not sure what you mean by R3.

      Here's the mic I'm using. It works well. I might upgrade to a Rodes at some point but this one works really well.

    Hi sir, if I bench tested the mobo, with the CPU, CPU cooler, the rams, the GPU with the PSU powering the board, if in case my CPU was damaged (though I am not sure if its damaged or not) the only used part in the mix, will it damage the mobo on this bench test? Or will it just not turn on but not damage the mobo if the CPU was bad? If I replaced the CPU will I still be able to use the mobo and all other parts? Appreciate any inputs. Thank you and have a great day.

    @radtek2 3 года назад

    To turn off the motherboard/PC do you ground out the power pins again?

    • @CyberCPU
      @CyberCPU  3 года назад

      Typically I just flip the switch on the power supply but you can ground the pins in you want.

    I just returned an AMD Ryzen 5 for DOA. There was no Beep and no video. After i boxed it up I found the issue you are talking about. But lease explain if the bios is the issue, what to do when there is no video not beep, because you cant see to upgrade the bios . thx

    • @CyberCPU
      @CyberCPU  3 года назад

      You need a chip comparable with your motherboards BIOS to flash it. I would call around computer shops around you and see if they can flash it for you for a couple bucks.

    how do you shut it off after the test bench

    • @CyberCPU
      @CyberCPU  3 года назад +2

      The power switch on the power supply or just re-short the contacts on the motherboard again.

    You don't you thermal paste or pad? ^^
    edit: aahh... read your other comment ;)

  • @liammurray9274
    @liammurray9274 3 года назад +1

    No Thermal Paste? Even for a bench... if it works you can throw it onto the case without having to disassemble and reassemble.

    • @CyberCPU
      @CyberCPU  3 года назад +8

      Brand new processor. The thermal paste comes pre-applied to the heat sink.

      Possibly at some point. However, it will be exactly the same video but with the addition of using a graphics card. I have other videos where I install a graphics card, if that helps. My upgrade video I did a few weeks ago includes that. However, I didn't explain the process.
