We cook this on the 27 th day of Margazhi month while reciting Koodaravelli pasuram . We cook for aadippooram too.
Sir, today I tried my MAIDEN attempt to do this recipe. Your use of vocabulary lavishly in doing any dish is simply superb. I am an ardent lover of your cooking. Keep rocking sir.
Our fav … I usually put for 1cup rice., 1/2 cup slightly roasted moong and 3 cups jaggery.
This is the measure : 1 measure of rice+ moong mix this is the measure 1:2:3 , 1 measure ghee, 2 measure jaggery, 3 measure milk+ water mix . Make jaggery syrup then add cooked and mashed rice dal , add elachi, pachai karpooram then ghee 😃
Sir yummy yummy yummy . In our house v will compulsorily do this akkaraadisil on 27 th day of margzai month every year.
Song is Koodarai velum seer Govinda. In that one line is mooda neeyi (நெய் பெய்து முழங்கை வழி வார) என்று வரும்.

Sir, for today vinyagar chadurthi i made this dish. My son and my brother astonished. They became your fans and if possible they want to meet you if you permit. Iam mad of you. Myself my so always eating in hotel for the past 7 years. After I start watching you in tv and you tube I started cooking at home we stopped going to hotel and our health also now ok. Now my son is so happy .

Sir my grandma used to say, if you hold a scoop of akkaravadisil in your palm, the ghee in that sweet should reach the elbow, we must start licking the ghee from the elbow to reach the palm

Sakkari Pongal is simple dish where you Cook rice and add suger and eat.
Akkaravadisal is an amazing dish that having heavenly taste ,with the all beautiful ingredients mix together at right moment.
From my understanding, milk, ghee and consistency are the differences between pongal and Akkaradisal

@8.25 Yes. it's in THIRUPPAVAI 27TH .. MUZHANGAI VAZHI VAARA MUDA NEI PEIDHU.. meaning..if take akkaaravadisil in your palm, ghee should flow till your elbow..
