Sorry not planning one on the standing tree. It's made using Slots which are explained in Tutorial 11. In essence it is pretty simple. it's made with two tree shaped pieces, one has a slot in it cut down from the top, the other has a slot coming up from the bottom - so they can interlock. The base is just a long strip, with four equal sides, the edges of the bottom of the tree pieces are attached to the middle points of each of the four sides. Hope this helps.

The lowest layer of the family tree is very similar to the lowest layer of the tower shown in Tutorial 30, two V-Folds (tutorial 2) raising a plane above and parallel to the base page. The difference between the tree and the tower is that the two V-Folds extend on up and use Slots (Tutorial 11), and Parallelograms (Tutorial 5) to raise more higher planes. The top centre of the family tree is made using the technique explained in Tutorial 7 (Adding Extra Creases). I hope this explanation makes sense to you! Good luck!

I could make scalloped or jagged bottom edges on the tree to give it some variation and make it more individualized.
