Thank you for sharing this testimony. What a blessing you shared with your husband, watching this clip! My beloved wife was diagnosed w/ PD about 6 years ago... She just turned 67; five days before retiring. Twenty two years ago we watched PD take my dear father; after 10+ years' of steady decline... So we both know what may lie ahead. But God is good. Austin Brown, I listened to The Righteous Brothers & Elvis Presley last night, just to compare, & You Are Much Better Than Both!!! I partly feel so strongly about that, because a lot of noises bother me, & I don't feel so dumb for hurting myself when I listen to you sing. I enjoy it much more. If you could do a bunch of songs with Just Your Voice, I think you'll find a small but devoted market for it. I was asking Jim Cramer, this stock guy, if he could buy the Taco Cabanas in San Antonio, so that I don't lose money on the stock, & I mentioned that one of the Taco Cabanas had seriously BAD, noisy music. I then mentioned that your music would be Much better. I think he already owns 2 restaurants. I don't know if he ever has live music in his restaurants, but you might ask, & just give him the link to your music. You can Google him on RUclips, & he has an email listed there. It's really to ask about stocks, but I'm sure he'd love your "Unchained Melody", & maybe Christmas music, at the least.

I consider myself a vocalist and the only song I have never been able to master is this one. The falsetto is beyond me and you do it without effort. Brilliant. The most amazing performance I have heard in 50 years. I don't know what you are doing with your music but you should be a household name. Excellent. Truly.
I am a classicaly trained singer and all my life I have loved that song. I am 79 now and that was the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard. I would love to have sung with him.
Let's see, the vocalist is using compression, reverb, and a noisegate and the guitarist has at least a little chorus/phase shift and OD in his signal. So what were you saying about "no effects" again!?
I'm 62 years old and have heard this sung so many different ways but I honestly have NEVER heard it sung so BEAUTIFULLY and PERFECTLY!!! My goodness! This was incredible even better than the original (by far)! You have been surely blessed with a special gift. WOW WOW WOW

Also, I don't know how many realize that this is the story a man talking to his girlfriend from the Chino Prison Facility which was located in Chino, CA. It's very interesting how many Seniors are commenting. I am 75, and I remember well listening to Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers when I was probably about 15. Yep this is the song, just turned 70, and Austin's voice is truly amazing!! ELVIS, RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS, Austin, the idea is to make it your own best version and you did brother......much love!!! Congrats!
On the contrary I love redo's because of the better equipment and recording processes of today's sound. So if they can add the beautiful voice go for it.

But Elvis sang this and accompanied himself on the piano just weeks before he died. He really was beyond words. Austin has a very wonderful voice just right for this song. Thank you.

Only For a Short While Oh, only for so short a while you have loaned us to each other, because we take form in your act of drawing us, and we take life in your painting us, and we breathe in your singing us. But only for so short a while have you loaned us to each other. Because even a drawing cut in obsidian fades, and the green feathers, the crown feathers, of the Quetzal bird lose their color, and even the sounds of the waterfall die out in the dry season. I’ve listened to almost every version of this song ever recorded. To me, nothing topped the Righteous Bros. Your version is right there, equal to them! Loved it!
This is absolutely outstanding. And what makes this so stunning is not only the strength of the upper notes but the cleanness of sound. Singers these days are so prone to caterwauling up and down that it becomes too painful to endure. Please keep on it keeping it clean and straight. Bravo.
PD, that's exactly what I thought...the cleanness of the sound. Nothing else just clear clean singing. At first I was wondering how Austin would handle the different notes and if there'd be a shaking...but nothing but a smoothing clarity of sound and beautiful tone. Love the guitarist, too. Wow, what a pair. Only the late Whitney Houston is on this level, imo.

Absolutely breathtaking ...singer and guitarist 😊
I am a classicaly trained singer and all my life I have loved that song. I am 79 now and that was the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard. I would love to have sung with him.
The song is about a guy stuck in a prison cell, in despair, because he is missing his girlfriend or whatever.
@@kdsuibhne Yep. Unchained. And Alex North, who wrote the melody, also composed the jazz-based score for A Streetcar Named Desire.

A guitarist ,a singer , sat by the fire , no special effects just pure talent .
And that's exactly how it should be.
Sitting by the fire not sat. I’m the grammar police 😀
Let's see, the vocalist is using compression, reverb, and a noisegate and the guitarist has at least a little chorus/phase shift and OD in his signal. So what were you saying about "no effects" again!?

I totally loved it, thanks guys. I look forward to hearing more from you two.
Al Hibbler sang it first, the movie Unchained theme song. His version was also well done. Find it and listen. it was done in 1955.
Also, I don't know how many realize that this is the story a man talking to his girlfriend from the Chino Prison Facility which was located in Chino, CA. The movie was to show a low security prison where family and friends could visit prisoners in a more social setting. It pretty much failed, but is still exists and has both high and low security sections.

Oh, only for so short a while you
have loaned us to each other,
because we take form in your act of drawing us,
and we take life in your painting us,
and we breathe in your singing us.
But only for so short a while
have you loaned us to each other.
Because even a drawing cut in obsidian fades,
and the green feathers, the crown feathers,
of the Quetzal bird lose their color,
and even the sounds of the waterfall
die out in the dry season.
So, we too, because only for a short while
have you loaned us to each other.

LeAnn Rimes covers this song very well, prefer her rendition over original
This is absolutely outstanding. And what makes this so stunning is not only the strength of the upper notes but the cleanness of sound. Singers these days are so prone to caterwauling up and down that it becomes too painful to endure. Please keep on it keeping it clean and straight. Bravo.
PD, that's exactly what I thought...the cleanness of the sound. Nothing else just clear clean singing. At first I was wondering how Austin would handle the different notes and if there'd be a shaking...but nothing but a smoothing clarity of sound and beautiful tone. Love the guitarist, too.
