hamilton is way way overhyped and overpriced for any field watch , many other brands worth much more especially in terms of value for money. i will never buy any hamilton field watch until they added a screw down crown to their stupid field watches.
In My honest opinion Dan a no date on this would of been fantastic ....see where theyre goin as in hamilton looks but should of put a border around the date ...Great review
Everyone raves about the Hamilton field auto but having owned one I think they are overpriced and overrated. I paid £420 for a bracelet version about 2 years ago but now they have an rrp of £700! At least I got my money back when I sold it.
If you want a Hamilton, you need to get that Hamilton. If not for anything else it will finally demystify the undeserved prestige that Hamilton currently harnesses to charge too much for their watches; just keep the receipt. All you get when you buy an homage brand is want the original more. I guess this was a long way for me to say that I don’t buy homage watches, but this model is very nice.

@@woonfaseng8737 they don’t do that because of fear of over winding the movement and breaking the mainspring when you attempt to screw down the crown, but the can still offer better gaskets tech on the crown tube and inside the crown to ensure the minimum 100meters, or remove the auto mech from the eta 2824 and instal that instead. that way you never have to worry about over winding the watch, the case removes thin and the customer can get their screw down crown.
I like it! Ive been attracted to arabic numerals lumed. Currently loving a tritium watch due to doing nights alot this puppy just keeps glowing. Any idea of what watches are easy to customize, mainly lume?
Completely agree with you on this, I have the quartz field watch and the Explorer Amber dial. I love them both but also feel they lack something to just take them to the next level. A signed crown or case back would do that, like you say, they are better than just a generic ali express brand. They could be so much more. Good video 😊
Once Baltany starts branching out to other styles, they are going to be a force to be a reckoned with. I think the watch is well worth the money. But I get your point about the Hamilton not being that much more. We’re not talking a Patek Nautilus Homage here. Thanks for the great review.
Good review as usual.. i see you are pacing yourself in terms of videos. My issue with the watch as you also mentioned, is the two shades of blue are not contrasting enough vs the renderings on AliE.
I prefer this to the Khaki Field Auto that I ended up selling. I prefer the brushed bezel, the dark date window, the hands, and the minute track. Just wish it had slightly shorter lugs. Might pick one up later.
Could you review Baltanys latest pilot chronograph please. It looks great but the pictures seem to indicate the crown doesn’t nest properly in the case side
Get the RAF inspired military bicompax chronograph they've just released, or the San Martin version. Hell, just get both and do a comparison - make my mind up for me 😏
Thanks. Hamiltons have that altered movement that makes them slow beat so it makes me look elsewhere. Are you the guy selling a Phoibos Great Wall currently?
What is the deal with signed (initialed) crowns? They are mostly never seen and certainly not traditional, but always youtubers make a big silly fuss about them. This is a watch that costs around an average days pay and you and commenters here want Rolex specifications it seems. Baltany are great value so let's not bang on about such minor issues as who cares for the price, grab one before they pull the plug on that model which they do.

Baltany is doing an outstanding job in this military-vintage style niche. I hope they expand their basic 36mm designs even more.
I agree, more 36mm sporty dress watches maybe?
That would be great!
Couldn't agree more.

Agree about the date border.

I have the blue dialled version of this and it’s sublime.
These are outstanding! I quite like the dial and the look quite a bit. Baltany seem to bring a lot of value to their watches!

Saved hundreds over a Hamilton. Still have the Lorus...
Lol, that lumibrite dial lorus is just perfect.
@@watchmewithwatches Even better, the titanium!

Thanks! Although I am very biased, I do agree! Great watches for the money.

I have the Baltany Military Chrono and its a great watch. I don't like chronos but that watch is just a winner for me. Another solid review!
Thank you!
nice looking watch for sure

Prices of Hamiltons have been creeping up for years. Great recommendation!
Great video cheers
1:31 Dramatic watch turn!! (ps Nice review 👍)
😆

Not me! Thanks for your comment though 👍
I bought this Baltany in blue.
It's everything I hoped for . Hamilton is too expensive for my Canadian funds.
An overly thick copy of a classic.
Just buy the real thing.
In the end, you will be glad you did.
Nice review.

But I want a signed crown damn it
Stunning!
Wish the hands were the syringe type like Hamilton’s
I have the original Hamilton, and the only reason I prefer that, over this - is the 80 hour power reserve.
Thats significant!
We do love a Baltany. I have 2. Could easily be 3 , agree about the date but not a deal breaker for me . Lovely
Let me know. I have the black dial version. Aliexpress killed my wallet recently. 😂
“Apologies. Dan is wrong… Idiot.”😂
I dont give a crap about a signed crown.
That date window placement... 😑
It's still somehow better than the Hamilton! Lol

its really unoriginal, just save a get the hammy
I have two Hamiltons and two Baltany, the Baltanys get more wrist time and are far better value IMO.
