- We found that these modifications significantly improve both the performance and look of the stock 1/6 MB Scaler Jeep from RocHobby / FMS . The forward battery placement gives a better weight distribution and stiffer chassis. The leaf spring mod look s great and actually improves the ride. Full lighting, sound and other simple scale mods also enhance the model too.
3D parts (printed in PETG - similar properties to ABS, very strong and durable) can be purchased from us at modderbuggs@gmail.com. Prices entirely based on printing time - £4/$5 per hour postage and packing free in the UK and US. Minimum order £8/$10. Prices subject to change over time.

I love these large-scale RC Jeeps - and the Suzuki from FMS - because they fulfill a desire that was born in me back in the days when I played with "Action Man" - the English equivalent of GI Joe - and yearned to own a Jeep the right size for him to sit in.
Thank you Del. Nice to hear from you too! Agree on the big-scale embedding in our brains from our childhoods. It was the same for me. I’ll let you into a little secret - I have both the 1/6 FMS L10 Jimny as well as the ‘Mashigan’ (Jeep YJ). And these have had the ‘treatment’ too. Once I’ve gone through the Willys Jeep mods I might video those as well - if there is interest😁

Over the last 2 years my "view" numbers have plummeted, even as the number of people subscribed to my channel increases. This has made me reluctant to make videos as often as I used to, or indeed to put as much effort into production.
I really should pull myself together and make a video soon.
@@Del350K4I guess we all have to find motivation for videos in different ways. Having created the mods for the Willys with Hal in the US we thought it would be interesting to share with folks and try and fund some of the stuff that Amazon keeps delivering! RUclips stats can be a bit of a distraction.

Incidentally, I once owned a Suzuki LJ80, the European, larger-engined version of your Jimmy, but using the same body. I remember it very fondly.

The wee cafe is a great touch and the jeep looks amazing, all willys jeeps should have leaf springs and shocks,NOT bloody trailing arms 😮niiiiiiice video man 😊

It depends what you’re looking from the truck. Keeping it stock it can’t unleash all its potential.
Of course you are perfectly correct. This model can clearly be taken in different directions. Towards scale military at one end or scale rock crawler at the other. A great staring point for either! A question of preference. 😁👍
