Just use the continuity. Thats what its made for. The meter will beep when its still good. Its the symbol that looks like wifi every meter has it
If you're ohm checking a fuse, no matter what meter you are using go to the lowest ohm scale on the meter and run the test. A good fuse, which has ends which are not corroded, will read 1 ohm or less.

The plastic automotive fuses shown, have exposed metal spots on the top of the fuse and can be tested insitu.

"20k for the ohms" lol the correct way to say it would be 20k ohms of resistance.
