The "dealer inventory" orders ARE customer orders. There is still excessive demand for new vehicles. 95% of what they are building for "stock" is already sold a month or two before they get to the dealership.
I had a KJ Liberty myself. I drove it to work 90 miles a day in some of the worst winter weather in the Sierras. I finally traded it at 200,000 Miles. It was a great Jeep with no issues.
Great choice. My dad has had a ‘07 C6 Vette as his fun car since 2010. Quite the beast. 400 hp, 6 speed manual, rwd fun. Handles well too with the Z51 pack and upgraded tires. One of the best cars money can buy for $30k.
The KJ is the cheap Jeep sleeper that a lot of people dont give enough love. They have the same tcase as a late model XJ and the Selec-Trac WJ. They have a Chrysler 8.25 rear end which is super solid. The 3.7 is really a pretty decent engine and the KJ could be had with a 2.8 VM Motori Diesel. The V6 and diesel engines can tow up to 5,000 lbs. It's a pretty good platform overall and can be built to perform similarly to other unibody Jeeps of that era. The weakest point is the IFS setup but its not horrible and can be upgraded.
I loved my KJ. Mostly because it didn't look like every other soft roader out there. I hated when the switched to the KK because it lost it's individuality in the vehicle line up. Can't wait to see the vids o this one. And if it wasn't for the rust that suck up on me I would still have it.
Roman and Nathan interviewed me with my KK back in 2017 or 18 at EJS on TflNow. The KK is a surprisingly capable rig especially with a 2.5" Lift. Excited to see you guys take it to Moab.

I'm with you, Tommy. I never like the jeep Liberties, but I have to give credit where credit is due. My daughter & son-in- law had one that he did not take care of at all. If it had gas, it was good to go. It finally quit with over 300,000 miles on it. So they are tough little vehicles, at least his was. Love the cheap series, can't wait to watch.
Curious to see the Accuair Jeep as I will be installing that system on my Rubicon. We overland our Jeep and feel this will be the best for our everyday and off road adventures.
Everyone hates the Camry but I'd like to see a new V6 Camry or Turbo Accord Sport establish a time on your 1/4 mile airstrip rally cross course vs all the older American Iron that ppl hold so dear to their heart. Are these hated models that are called boring and slow really that bad?
The C6 is going to go down as one of the best looking Corvettes, future classic for sure. Won't be worth a fortune because they made a ton of them but will always be desirable. Ironically its probably old enough that you can put an aftermarket head unit in it and have wireless android auto, bluetooth, and apple.
I had a 2006 Liberty with the 2.8 diesel it was fantastic. Low end torque that let you crawl over and up anything without touching the accelerator. I never got less than 22mpg city and 30 hwy I had a coworker with a 3.7 gas he told me the best he got on the hwy was 17 and it was weak at low speeds. Unfortunately I totaled mine but I would get another but only a diesel which was only available in 2005 and 2006. Which are hard to find
Would love to see the Accuair Jeep do some long distance washboard dirt roads. The biggest hangup people have with air suspension is long distance high speed off-road reliability
@@TFLnow Now you need the money from the Raptor R to buy a NEW Camaro before they go away. (Ugh, I cannot believe I just suggested they buy a GM product. I am going to be ill.)
New prices are insane. I bought a used 2017 ZR2 with 30k miles for $34,000, added an AEV trim kit ($100), timbren off road bump stops ($400), front level ($50) and 34 inch Patagonia M/T’s on new wheels ($1800 minus $600 when I sold old wheels). All in less than $36,000 and I got an off road monster that’s rides great on the highway
I'd like to see a competition where the Old Men get a reasonably good new(ish) SUV and the Young Guns get a very used one + budget for mods. Then a series of contests.
You know what would be fun? Make videos about installing aftermarket equipment that claim better performance. Or do an engine swap; for example, replace that 3.7 on the Liberty with a brand new Pentastar 3.6 and take it to the trails. That would be super interesting. Those are my two cents.
I’d like to suggest another base-type truck. You’ve said you wanted to buy a bigger tow rig. Maybe a plainish Tundra, Tacoma, Frontier, or 3/4 ton regular cab long bed work truck? 2wd?
@2:00... Has the same steering wheel as my '09 Cobalt SS. @3:49... ALL Corvettes are senior spec. I'm 50, I know. @14:50... What's with you Colorado guys putting "too big" tires on your trucks?
You don’t have to send a spy drone into the Raptor R factory. My family and I visited the Henry Ford museum a couple weeks ago. We took a tour of the Rouge plant which is where they build the F150. We were told they could pump out 1500-1600 trucks a day. We saw a handful of Raptor R’s sprinkled in all the F150’s. However, the line was shutdown the entire time we were there. No one could tell us why. The tour was watching a bunch of workers standing around and playing on their phones🤷🏼♂️
I do like the Raptor R, but, you can sell it off as far as I am concerned. It has been around long enough. Been showcased a lot. It is special, but ready for something different. Can sell off the Ram "ranch truck" too. And Tommy's jeep was shown long ago when it was teased that another jeep series was going to come.(still waiting) Fleet updates are cool. Keep them coming. Are y’all going to get the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison; Ford Ranger Rapter; and Toyota TRD pro for long term reviews?!? I would LOVE to see them put to the test.
I'd like to see some 3/4 ton trucks that aren't the heavy duty versions. And use a travel trailer for your towing test because that is more real world for us non commercial truck owners. I'd love a 1/2 ton truck but I feel like I'm over weight on payload. Thanks

The back order I feel and hearing is that I make/creates demand which in turn allows manufactures to elevate their price.

That time period of Daimler Chrysler vehicles had a lot of solid designs. Liberty got overshadowed by wrangler and cherokee in the lineup.
