It makes me feel better to see someone as talented as you struggling with the lyrics. I know everyone does it when learning, but it's good to be reminded that we are all learning.
Glad this video exists. I'm a guitar player, don't actually own a banjo, so my plan is just tuning it so the high E acts as my equivalent fifth string and ignoring the low E (xCGADf# - although technically it'd be AEF#Bd# with a capo on the third fret because guitars don't like being tuned like that). Can't really do the normal fingering like that, but I also play with a pick anyway so it's all about adaptation.
Very nicely done! I'm new to this style of banjo. I just got an old buckbee, simple but set up well. nylon strings. Being a guitar player it's a little different. I appreciate these great video's! MT
Thanks so much for this excellent tutorial - I saw Riley Baugus a few nights ago and he played Oh Death in this tuning, I asked for the tuning after the gig but thought I had made some error when I copied it down because it sounds so odd on its own 🤣

Thanks! It's cool that you're adapting this to guitar. I have a friend who's doing something similar.
Thank you for this, I've been trying to figure this out for a while and it finally clicked tonight.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the new vids Colin, when you get time it would be great to have a lesson for "Little Black Train" and 'Calvary" thanks again Charlie
