I love how easy it is to play a banjo tune once you actually know what the heck they are playing. 😆 Thank you for doing the heavy lifting!!

Thanks Colin. I look forward to learning from your Doc Boggs lessons. You were my first RUclips banjo teacher when I bought my first banjo about 5 years ago

You maybe not remember me sir. But was a blind bsnjo player who had commented on your two finger style you used on teaching Wille Moore. And how much I loved that bsnjo style of playing. I have found it on my frettless to be very good to sing too. And hearing you do Dock Boggs blows my mind! I mean I know folk bsnjo styles are not as complex as fiddle or piano music. But to a guy like me you are my hero! Wishing you a very happy 2021!

I'm glad you've started this Dock Boggs series again I've been wondering whether you'd pick it back up. I think you along with Clifton Hicks are the best teachers on RUclips

Very cool. Some of my favorite banjo/country are not in Scruggs or claw hammer. Sounds good.

I would love for you to teach Boggs's Mixed Blues! It would be a great way to learn some up the neck stuff while learning more Boggs.

I never tried to learn "Mixed Blues," but I have learned "Down South Blues," which is similar in technique. Maybe I'll do that one last. Thanks for the idea!

This is great! Anxious for Pretty Polly! Maybe after that one you could do "Oh Death"

"Pretty Polly" is next! Then "Country Blues" and maybe "Oh Death". I have had several requests for that.

Thanks for uploading these. Very helpful.
It is a little hard for me because you play it differently than you explain it or break it down. If you could just play through start to finish very slowly with the camera on your fingers (both hands or one and then the other) that would be very helpful.

Volume is pretty low for me. Anyone else? Great tutorial tho. Thanks a lot. Love dock Boggs

Yeah, I need to raise the input on the next one. I have a new microphone that I'm still learning to use.

Would you happen to know the tunings that doc Boggs used and on which songs. I've searched all over the net and have yet to find a source.

He used many tunings. Which recordings in particular are you curious about?
