This was an easy coup for the males! The real challenge is how they’ll fare against other males. The lionesses will need these males to be strong, for not only do male lions help protect the pride and its territory from rival males and other prides, but will also assist in taking down dangerously large prey like adult Cape buffaloes, young rhinos, hippos, giraffes, and even elephant calves.
Good luck to the Tintswalo males! Let your roars echo through the South African wilderness! I look forward to how they (and the other predators) will do.
Agree! I hope they got more time to grow into their prime before being challenged! I fall in love with them already! Such a beautiful group of young males!
I’ve been watching these live safari’s since the start of them, & I must say this one had the most beautiful array of animals so far , it was totally amazing & I do hope you keep us posted on the 4 new males I do hope their bonds are strong enough & loyalty is the key to success in a great coalition . Thanks for your wonderful work & sharing such a beautiful video. 👏👏👍
Who else started yawning while watching the Lions? You're right about a "gift" Neil. What a fantastic sight to see the 4 together. Nice anticipation to know where to film. When they appeared on the mound together, wow. That's some David Attenborough quality work. Well done and thanks.
Loved hearing the description of the beautiful word Tintswalo and how it applies to the young males perfectly. The 4 of them on the termite mound was absolutely gorgeous. Thanks Tintswalo

Wow. What are the chances you get all four brothers sitting together and looking directly into the camera! Thank you for the background on the tinswalo males! Thank you Neil you are the best!
Hey guys.. It's Robert from USA. Thanks for those amazing vid's. I can never get enough. You guys are GREAT conservationist. There's other's as well. But you all are very personable. The shots of those loving male lions (yawni'n is contagious, even w humans) was AMAZING. I think your area (Tinswalo) has SPECIAL animals (mostly) well behaved lol
I was saying just a few days ago, these males need a different coalition name. A lot of confusion between them and the 2 Mbiri dominant males. I even thought whether Tintswalo would be the appropriate lodge for their name to be associated with. Needless to say, the name couldnt be more perfect. Wondered if any results returned for Junior the Orpen male, and if any trace of Buddy has been seen. Thank you for the lovely sighting of these males. They will be something when mature.
Please DO NOT follow this ridiculous suggestion; there is NOTHING more annoying than rangers and doco makers individually naming WILD animals. Thanks for the really useful info.
@@SeanLarkan Why not, to get to know them in an easy way. This is not an interference with nature, it is a name for identification. Whoever follows them and puts hard work in photographing them has the right to name them, and it is not ridiculous to name them as you say to those who suggest that. Do not impose your opinion and describe the opinion of others as ridiculous. It is not your right
I wonder who names the coalitions, and the prides, and the individuals. in fact, I wonder which animals get names. It appears the cats get names, but not the prey
The three Mbiris remind me of Skorro and the Nharu male of Sizanani. This could be the case since Sizanani was gravely injured in Dec. of 2016, so Skorro probably sired more offspring born in 2017. More than half of all of the Mbiri cubs died since there were initially 16 of them! Their rise in the previous territory of the Orpen Males made me feel emotional for some reason. I cannot believe the Orpens are now gone, both struck down in their prime. Are any Mbiris confirmed pregnant? ;(
Wow definitely impressive profile picture. Gorgeous array of animals. Beautiful scenery/ greenery. Wow so large. Giraffes are so gorgeous. They just stare. Zebras are kool. Always a pleasure watching 😎
Well done to the guide who explained the meaning and reasoning behind keeping that name... all the best to the young kings.... long journey ahead boys..
Would love to hear more about giraffe communication when the studies are completed. Given the meaning of the word 'Tintswalo', that is a wonderful name for the lion coalition! Thank you for the great video!
Neil beautiful name for these males, I can't wait to watch them as they get older this would be an awesome coalition. They are gonna be Big Boys. I'm really excited to see what the future holds for these young males. Praying they stay safe and would love to see them as future Kings and have families of there own.
I'm glad to see that you're looking after the rhinos. I've been saying for years that the rhinos and elephants should have their tusk removed. It's not ideal and it's not fair to the animals but as long as man has placed a price on those items they would never be safe. I really wish I was a younger man. I could honestly see myself living in Africa the rest of my life looking out for these beautiful animals. A good friend of mine she followed that path. When she was serving in the US military she was stationed in Africa. Any time she had free time she spent it at different research facilities. Before enlisting she was on the path of being a lawyer. When she came back to America she changed the legal courses that she was taking. She moved into the animal rights part of the law. Which to be honest I never knew there was such a thing. After passing her bar exams and having all her degrees she sold everything she owned and moved to Africa to work on animal rights over there. It's been 10 years since she did that and she has told me she never has regretted doing it. She only regrets she has is not doing it earlier. I'm really enjoy watching your videos. Some of them I have watched more than once. I know it's not easy for you to see the ugliness of what's going on there but hopefully you have more wonderful days than bad. I look forward to watching your next video.
This guy was able to mention one example of a dehorned rhino be able to defend itself against one with his horn and he used that as if it was good enough to justify humans dehorning rhinos!!!
I really like these Nahru / Mbiri male Lions❤️which became the Tintswalo males, I liked their name, too bad! They look like their fathers but also their brothers. I wish them the best, but without causing any damage in the surroundings, and not want them to go back to Sabi Sand, there are already many young lions. I'd like to hear from Buddy💕since Junior died💔 we haven't heard from him anymore, I'm wondering ... what about Junior's autopsy?
I hope that in 2 to 4 years we can be in awe with the stories of these magnificant males and i hope all 4 make it into their twilight years. Keep strong.
These young males look so well, I noticed how very sharp and alert they were while having a drink....great video..stick together boys you will soon be strong enough to take over a pride!

Always great sightings, Tintswalo males getting stronger🔥.
Is it just me or does the male with the smallest mane seem to be the tallest male? They're going to be huge male lions in their prime!
I agree. He seems to be bigger than the rest which surprises me because his mane is so underdeveloped
He’s probably the little brother that will outgrow the big bros.
I noticed that too, I thought he appeared to be a lanky lad.
Its the nahru male which is not related with the 3 mbiris. He is the tallest.
